  • Do you know fossil spots in Belgium too?

Otherwise, do you have alot of chance finding fossils if u hunt in Folkstone ?

  • funny music man...UFO theme is good choce

  • 2 months later and I still like fossils. 5 star

  • i have an ammonite from Lime Reges in the UK, its only about, 14mm big (maybe bigger or smaller) but i keep it in cloth, boxed in another box xD

  • Nice Fossils! And love the Gerry Anderson music too!

  • Hi,

It was Gault Clay - Albian age Early Cretaceous to be precise. I thing the date is around 100m years old. Thanks for watching the vid!

  • Ah cheers! The pieces of music were from two old British sci-fi programmes, Joe 90 and Space:1999. They are really cheesy tunes but always raise a smile!

  • Wow! You're just picking up rocks, and they are fossils! The place is littered with them! Can you pick up a few for me on your next jaunt to the beach?

  • Nice stuff. Gotta love the cretaceous! If you're ever in Oxfordshire I can happily recommend the Faringdon Sponge Gravels - really good Lower Greensand belemnites, nautiloids, sponges and ammonites to be found in Wicklesham Quarry. Access is free providing you take the appropriate PPE i.e. hard hat and hi-vis.

    Cheers for this...
