Absolutely superb.. love the mix of the slower Stearman (Caydet) with the somewhat faster and more agile Pitts.. Liked the music too! (even though I will confess that I missed the sound of the Stearmans engine! Nothing quite like it, T6 Texan apart.. :) 5 glorious stars.. and a fav!! :)
kaydet sounds like a maytag wringer wash machine...those wash machines were efficient for their time but the zeke just purrs like a magnificeent kitten LOL
I know, has he never heard of his countries own greatly superior aircraft? Hellcat, Corsair, Mustang, Thunderbolt, Airacobra (could accelerate faster than mr zero)
Not to mention shoot them to pieces... The TOZO friend of mine's father was a gunner on Liberators in the pacific.. he's shot down a few Zeros as well!! He later got a job for MITSUBISHI, of all companies! At the jobinterviw they wondered if he had ever come across any of their products, and he told them the truth.. he still got the job!! Apparentaly the Japanese were most impressed.. :)
Well, not everyone appreciates my taste in music, lol... but the planes are awesome! See more of them in their individual solos, vids posting soon with natural sound.:D
Thank YOU for posting them!! :) Having seen both Pitts and Stearmans at Boxted I appreciate the flying of the pilots involved!! One of the better displays I've seen was between a D.H. Chipmunk and a Stearman, on the very last Boxted Fly-In.. It was totally unrehearsed, the Stearman filling in for another Chipmunk that could not fly that day.. but both pilots were experienced display pilots, and even though they'd never flown 'together' before, worked it out between them as they went along! :)
You are welcome. The Stearman really impressed me, what an awesome plane. Skip Stewart is always a hit too. I think you'll like the other performances.
I'm not familiar with the Chipmunk, bet that was a cool show! Will have the other videos of these planes up this weekend. thanks as alwats for watching, take care!
