first I thought it was a boy in this video.. then a girl.. and now a boy again.. ugh wtf .. im going to jackson in a few months.. less excited now I seen you in this video..
Love This! You sound just like we did over twenty years ago!!! New acronyms like BCT, Same old boot camp! Have a great career. From a former female medic and survivor of C-2-1, Ft. Jackson, 1984.
Nice.. i leave for jackson next week 24th!!! And my AIT is at Fort Lee.. im pretty much in perfect mental and physical shape.. im ready to shoot guns.. im not so thrilld about the shots ugh.. -_-
i guess i can disagree about reception, then a gain i played football in hs, and getting yell at was nothing new, the gas chamber sucked, my DS made us all eat a heavy b-fast, so alot of people puked, and those who didn't had to do push-ups, lol ive heard how laxed BCT has become, i thought it was pretty easy when i went through, just tiring.
I was in D 3/34 back in august 2006 at jackson. Im not sure why i went to jackson because im a 13P which is a combat MOS lol. I remember there were like 4 combat arms guys in the whole company. It started to suck once the drill sgt's realized that they had a few combat arms guys because they fucked with us hardcore for no reason at all lmao.
I went through BCT at Fort Jackson... kind of. I was there for 10 months, I shattered my left leg the last week before graduation. I missed out on Victory Forge and ended back at 120th for 8 months for PTRP rehab. I was discharged at a 20% disability rate and still to this day cannot walk straight. That said, BCT was amazing. I was in Fco 313th under Cpt Miller. I dont regret any of it, it was a life changing experience and I would do it again if I had the chance!
@armyeodftw Yeah, normally it is only 10 weeks. I got hurt real bad, so i got held back, I never graduated, I was in BCT for 10.5 months before being retired from the service with 20% disability and full veterans status. That being said, the army is by far the greatest experience I have ever had. My left leg is still messed up and that all happened over a year ago, but even so, I wouldn't trade the lessons learned for anything.
I loved Jackson!I was a Nightstalker in1st platoon(best platoon, lol) in B co 2/28.let me tell you, Bravo co wasnt easy at all!Ive got some stories!you seem awesome!
@GUERAxLOCZx530 I'm going in a month and am nervous, is it bad? Does it feel like forever? Did you get to go home before AIT? AHHHH away from my wife and kid for that long makes me depressed! I assume its like any job, once you get the hang of it, its not so bad?
@MrGobBluth OMG i am soooooooo sorry I am barely replying....I assume u already left....hope u had a blast, and thank you for being a hero to our country, a u can see I changed my name......but im the ex-Gueralocz name....... so if u have a chance Id love to hear sum stories!! good luck and youre awesome!!!!!
@nost8mnt haha im stressing over that... i leave this weekend, but its going all the time that i cant smoke is going to be a really good start to me quiting.
The sand and the wash outs are the worst there. I pulled my groin and was profile for 2 weeks. Hip fractures are also very common at Jackson. I just graduated 16-oct 09. Jackson is not as easy as everybody thinks. BCT is just as hard whever you go, depends on how highspeed your cadre is. It's the people you train with that make difficult.
Oh gawd, I'm glad I hadn't put my gas mask on. The guy behind me did, and was down before everyone filled the room. He was struggling so much that he was sent out, and had to do it again.
Very nice on the BRM. Best I got was a 34/40, but that was with several targets going down on their own, half a clip of extra rounds from the guy in front of me, from him having both a jam and nosebleed. Cheating aside, best I got was 33/40
Honestly i would go back through basic training in a heartbeat!. I loved it and want to again. now i was talking to some people the only way i can is be a DS. so looks like i know what im doing here ina year or so. When i went through i honestly had the best time of my life. until you cant stand any of the other people around you. HARDEST PART OF BASIC: dealing with people from new jersey when your form the west coast!!!! fuck them. anyways here i am years an years later and want to go back
Hahahaha! I still have 19 days left of Basic at Fort Jackson (I'm on Xmas Exodus but I return tomorrow) and throughly enjoyed watching your video. I 100% agree, reception was the worst. Gas chamber...I pulled off my mask twice before I was supposed to. Heh heh. Victory Forge and 9mile march, here I come! [gulp] *Starr*
@Starrfyrra Hey congrats on the 19 days left! Man...I would have loved to have gone during Xmas Exodus! Victory Forge was a blast...the march back to the barracks is something I will never forget.
@LiveInFullEffect My God, that was 3.5 months ago! [lol] I've been in AIT for 3.5 months and I have about three months left to go. I hated Victory Forge. It was so cold, I did two shifts because I couldn't sleep. The 9mile march was nothing compared to marching in the sand during Victory Forge [lol]. Anyway, I'm glad it's over. Graduating was awesome. :D I kind of wish I went on Xmas break after BCT, it would've been easier, but oh well.
@LiveInFullEffect Damn, that was 4 months ago, and I'm still in AIT. Ugh, TRADOC is a bitch! [lol] 9 mile wasn't bad, but Victory Forge I was so cold, I doubled on the shifts because I couldn't fall asleep.
@xena3786 It is great I have been there Relaxin Jackson ECHO Pitbulls since Nov 1st. White Phase. It will kinda Hard but can make it...stay away from the neg people bcuz they will make u feel that u got into the wrong thing
