Are you by any chance aware how do zoom in and out while following the cursor during a recording session? I've seen it done a number of times on other videos.
what edition of linux are you running? I tried Mint, but its fairlyuseless, and puppy is eevn more so, but convient for transfering files form crashed ocmputers.
Using Wine for games requires a LOT more than the same game would on native Windows. This is because it has to software emulate DirectX. My computer is dualbooted, and while it isn't great, the Windows drive will run the Sims 2, whereas WINE won't even run most of the games I played on my old Windows 95 machine.
well windows 95 is based off s different edition of dos than many other running systems, '95 & '98 run off what would be like...dos6.4, xp runs off what would be like dos 10, vista isn't dos based. which is why there are so many compability issues, and why ward stuff like, if you copy a vista screen saver, it won't work in xp, but if you take an xp screen saver into dos, it will be fine. you arn't going to find a "perfect" emulator, theres too many editions of dos, and all are under coppyright.

They are using the Enhanced Desktop zoom plugin in compiz, try Windows Key+Scroll.

@Silntdoogood: Actually theres a GPL licenced version of DOS called FreeDOS. But it hasn't been updated since 2006.

Ubuntu

thanks, does it run an .exe for you?

No Linux distro will open an exe, A program called wine can run them though.
Linux uses .deb or .rpm for installing software.
I suggest you use the package manager included with your distro.
just search for a type of software, select the ones you want to install, and click "apply" or "next" to install the software.
I suggest you check the Ubuntu forums for more help.
