@SuperSultan1988so what that it goes under the NHL playoffs? all the best swedes, russians and all other european coutries have their best playeras in the NHL...The Sedins, Lidstrom, Z-berg, Ovechkin, Backstrom, Semin, Malkin, Hossa, Timmonen, Selanne, and many others is in the play offs and the eourpean teams usually onlu have players from the SEL, KHL and other eoropean leagues and still win the WC must mean that Canada must have their best players in the NHL to win a WC....

The World Championships of hockey is a farse tournament... because it is not best on best...it goes on during the NHL playoffs!!! Since 1976 there are been 11 tournies where each country could send their best players... Canada won 7, Sweden 1, Czech 1, USA 1 and USSR/Russia 1. That is hardly even!!! Russia hasn't won anything significant since they won the Canada Cup in 1981.
