I played this game, It's amazing, the graphics are unbelievably good. However, where it fails is the grinding. Leveling is far too long and is far too time consuming, which makes this game fail sadly.
@zabbestpriest i actually enjoyed lvling. It was fun doing it with groups and stuff, especially in the graphics. it took me 2 weeks to lvl to 55 and 5 weeks after to get good gear. It's a good game.
Could've been such an epic game without the grind, fail PvP and some (most in this video) of the artwork. Makes it look like a fucking japanese game for 10 year olds...

My problem with the game was this. I didn't buy it at the release. There was too much ganking. Moreover, gankers were often higher lvl, in groups, and had superior gear. Unless you ran in groups all the time, lvling was a pain (a grind too). My time was limitted too,
I couldn't play 80 hours a week, like may of the griefers. Plus stealth mode, and players waiting until you HP are low, made the whole thing worse. Not to mention the professions were unbalanced

@FredtheAsian Pvpve is a good idea in theory, it just doesn't work practically. Maybe it they gave you an option to disengage the PVP, it might work. Perhaps even some safe zones for leveling/ farming. Maybe I'll see you after exams fre, good luck :)

My advice make friends with a few high lvl characters that works too, because gankers go for the weak characters usually not the ones who can fend for themself.
@SilentHillFire if its a problem, ask people to help you out on quests, especially those who go out ely hunting. i was lvl 41 and asked a lvl 55 assasin to help me out. he killed 5 elys and i was able to do my quest.
@AnubisObit - I totaly agree, i think Aion is a beautiful game but i left because of the forced PvP, i would rejoin again if they made the Abyss pvp only.
Aion is absolutely a beautiful game.. if the ever make servers with PVP ONLY IN THE ABYSS.. they might win me back.. PVP in RPG is beyond GAY..let alone forced PVP..

More endless Asian grind, forced PvP , yet amazing character generation and graphics. From beta on though just did not like the fact that it took forever and a day to get a level past 50 , that is if you had 8 hour a day job sometimes more. When are they going to learn that without the ability to go from start to finish solo and/or in instances they'll never be able to compete with those games where you can? Sure it's an MMO but people still want to play and be left alone some times. Adding two instances for the whole release doesn't come close to the hundreds they'd need to be competitive.

My favorite part of this game is the amount of individuality you have from other players. It was already impossible to look like someone else in the game and with the new features that are coming, there will be even more variety.
Until I can fly anywhere and everywhere I want, I'll be playin' something else. I remember wayyyy back when I was waiting forever for this game to come out, but the flying features really brought me down. I keep checkin' it every once in a while to see if it gets any better. I'll probably come back once 3.0 comes out....if my computer can even run it with this new damn graphical upgrade. Glad Aion still has a decent amount of players.

@LimitlessPK the new graphics engine is part of 2.5, the 3.0 teaser was basically just showing the mounts. 2.5 releases in western servers on may 25th.

This game is worth sticking around in. I've hopped MMOs for a while and I see a lot of Q_Q in each about the game balances or whatever...but I personally have no problems with aion. Every MMO will have ups and downs. You can't please everyone.
@Sylamarion They really buffed the rewards for XP and money as well. They've put in more quests etc and rewards sometimes yield gear. Also blue/gold named gear drops a lot more frequently now

Like it Realy!! I play Aion since the CBT and i love it! Wow & rift is Trash i think! Aion need skill and brain if you dont have this you are not going to like Aion becaus you need it realy for PvP and maby pvE instance Aion is not a Game for guy how cant lose becaus in aion for PvP you need good Equipment, you must understand your class and you need taktik. Much players say mage are so op and this shit and i must say no that isn't true becaus you need a good taktik then you can kill everything

I'm just worried about how the performance shall fair after these updates. Looking at some excerpts of the video, the framerates were hitting very low values. If NCSoft's computers can't handle it, imagine our own.

All this is good but doesnt change the fact that they are cramming everyone together. They merged yet another server together May 4th leaving only 4 servers now. I had to leave the game due to the fact I could no longer enjoy my gameplay. Open another server or 2 and you will see ALOT of people return.

This game is worth sticking around in. I've hopped MMOs for a while and I see a lot of Q_Q in each about the game balances or whatever...but I personally have no problems with aion. Every MMO will have ups and downs. You can't please everyone.

@Sylamarion They really buffed the rewards for XP and money as well. They've put in more quests etc and rewards sometimes yield gear. Also blue/gold named gear drops a lot more frequently now
