  • Absolutely love this song and his works as a whole <3

  • I've been working with a year 6 class on the English Civil War and representing narrative in non written forms, they absolutely love this song so do I!!!

  • his music is so relaxing...

  • also coincides with the first siege of Pembroke . works wells for both

  • its the defence of plymouth by the parlrimentrists against the royalists

  • 1643. The English Civil War. The fortofied coastal town of Plymouth was held by the Parliment forces, under the command of General Ruthin. The Royalist army under the command of General Hopton laid siege to the Town and castle. Even the local town folk took up arms to hold the royalists off. When the tale of the siege reached London a relief force was raised in Berkshire to aid the defenders. The Royalists, rather than be caught between the town and the re-enforcements quit the field of battle.

  • thanks very much.
