Wow i hate that so what if your son is gay he still a human being who loves be lucky his secret wasnt being a criminal. If i tell my parents im gay (im a guy)
@Defjams1991 Do you just think? Or do you know? There is help! It differs in different countries, but I know in the US there is places where you can stay, they'll give you someplace to live, food, ect.. Please messege me back, I don't want to think that you are out on the streets.
@DontTellMeWhoIAm Thanks for your concern, but I'm fine. Don't worry about me, I have many friends for support and go to a magnificent college that is open and accepting of queer individuals. I'm not sure how my parents will react to my coming out -_- but it's so refreshing to know that there are kind individuals like you, that I can lean on. Thanks again! and bless you for your kindness!
Beautiful film. This should be seen by all the people who believes that homosexuality is a choice...it is absurd to think that anyone "chooses" to be gay so they can be beaten, mocked, shunned, laughed at, miserable, and treated by society as lepers. I hope all societies will eventually evolve to be more tolerant and accepting of all diversity including gays.
In Iranian culture homosexuality is seen as a shameful act and is look down upon. I am not sure why this is the case but it may have to do with Islam Shia law or the shear fact of ignorance among the Iranian community (mostly with my parents generation). It's encouraging to see more and more Iranian people becoming aware of homosexuality as not a choice but as a person's own sexuality. I hope that that these attitudes will go with time.
The family seem to Iranian in the film, I know because I come from an Iranian family and I am gay. So I can relate to this video very much as the reaction I got form my parents when coming out was very much the same to what was depicted in this film.
This movie has shown how one of the minorities - gays are being discriminated for what they are. But as we are so furious cursing the Muslim neighbour in the movie, are we actually doing the same??
this film haunts me all day and fills me with tears - its symptomatic of the utter anguish that simple same sex affection can generate and why its so harshly difficult to find perpetrating loneliness and disenfranchisement - i lived in a country where it seemed that the older generation was bent on destroying any affection between youth - it seems so we would be angry and frustrated enough to fight their petty dogma based and hysterical wars or rumors of wars
what country was this suppose to be.. Turkey ? a blond boy and an asian girl ?? snow european architecture..maybe Bosnia, Kosovo or Serbia ? couldn't catch the language
@Olekander puisque ils sont des cons quant a la sexaualité, et en fait je ne tai pas ecrit seulement, je lai ecrit a tlm. Fo vraiment lutter contres les prejugees islamiques. !
@Olekander , please don't be prejudiced, think about the oppressors who ruled muslims for centuries. It's like a tradition to oppress each other in that culture, though the religion itself banned people from oppressing anyone. People love being the authority, they misuse their powers usually. I truly wish they learn asap that the differences are blessings indeed.
It should be very obvious to any one with a brain that no person anywhere is going to CHOOSE to be one of the world's most persecuted and reviled minorities! Grow up people; how about just a LITTLE common sense here?
@cosdox1 These EVIL BIGOTS don't want common sense! Of course, it is humanly impossible to choose sexual attraction to one gender or the other. But BIGOTS desperately cling to the "choose to be gay" LIE in a futile attempt to "justify" discrimination, hatred and institutionalized bigotry against homosexuals. Hypocrisy rules their entire stance on the subject. Somehow gays get a "choice" but so-called straights do not. Their HYPOCRISY knows no bounds where homosexual men are concerned. It is sad!
that's horrible, poor kid, people need to be tolerant and respectful of other peoples lifestyle regardless of their beliefs cause for me no religion in world is gonna make me dislike or hate someone cause their gay cause i believe love is love, whether is man and woman, man and man, or woman and woman
I don't think any gay person would ,out of own will, decide to be gay...you are born that way, I believe. Being gay and coming out to my family...I am so lucky that they accepted it and didn't write me off.But I know of so many other gay people that have it much harder. My family is serious church goers/Christians, but I can only thank GOD that they still love and accepted me. PEOPLE WE ARE ALL THE SAME, DON'T JUDGE OTHERS.

That ugly slit-eyed pancake face yellow Asian has the cheek to join in taunting the boy when she herself, as a minority in the West, has suffered discrimination. This Asian actress shouldn't have played this role.
Most of the time, it is these kind of plot that encourage others to gay-bashing.
Most gays are accepted and have straigrht friends in school as long as they are sociable & not introvert.ed
yes, it's great. And it also shows how education in school is poor and confuse matters about humans rights and choices. What I'm try to say is that the teacher was an ignorant!!!
beautifully made little film. the music was stunning.

Religion and homosexuality opens a Pandora's Box, not against homosexuality but on the credibility of religion (any religion or any church).

ignorance is an incurable disease. religion in the warm bed of ignorance.
schools are powerless. and teachers are without will.
parents are just a genetic accident, and family is an abstract concept.
the only thing you have is yourself, your nature, your will.
always be faithful to yourself.
