Thank you for the videos! They help me a lot to start speaking cantonese. I've always understand the most part of cantonese language but couldn't talk back. I've always been listening to my chinese friends and watching hong kong drama since I was like 11-12 years old. I was discourage by the pronunciation part. Now being 23, I want to really be fluent in cantonese by speaking the language whenever I can.

Entertaining, but some of the accents are so strong! Makes me want to cringe...just a bit.

jackywong77777 2 years ago
Oh god!
Here in Hong Kong people say 去食飯 and it can be lunch OR dinner. It's a meal. Lunch is a meal.

@Cantocourse ermm nvm u dont get it not to be rude just telling ya i was born in hong kong raise in hong kong till i turn 13.
jackywong77777 2 years ago
All right. So all those HK people who have said "meal" instead of "lunch" to me for the last 20 years must be wrong then. I stand corrected!
That must be why the common greeting after 12.00 noon is: 你食咗飯未。 Because all Hong Kong people have dinner at 12, right?
