@stretchnc54 It's a stretched figure 8 for the inner main line interconnected with an outer main line. There are some sidings in the the inner main line. Look at my other videos to see more of the layout from above.
Great track plan.. I also love that you have your priorities right and got the layout up before the walls !!!...A real trainman at heart !!! Great video. 5*****
We run the trains both conventionally, and if they are equipped with TMCC, with TMCC. You can use TMCC controllers to control conventional engines if you add a powermaster, or TPCs (track power controllers). Newer engines are not a problem since Legacy is backward compatible with TMCC. MTH engines need to be controlled in conventional mode with a TPC or by just using a transformer throttle.
thank you, ive recently got my first set of "O" Gauge, and already have a pretty good size platform made up, as time goes on ide like to be able to run more then one engine so i was looking ahead of time to see what ill need to be doing for transformers or the fancy TMCC controlers.
As I stated earlier, it's not grass mat. It's green indoor / outdoor carpet. There's a big difference! Applying was very easy. I laid the carpet on the table with enough overhang to cover the sides and bottom. I then stapled the carpet with a staple gun to the bottom edge. Once one side was attached, I stretched the carpet and did the same on the bottom of the other edge. Very simple. Cutting the carpet is the hardest part with a utility knife.
is this a figure 8 layout with branchoffs?

Do you use TMCC controlers for your engines, and if you do, can you use them for any newer engine?

Esta ficando muito bom!
Acho que os Layouts montados com os Fast-traks, são mais rápidos e mais fácil!
Eu estou montando o meu Layout já a 4 anos, com trilhos bitola "O" comuns, e ainda não acabei... Estou sempre acrescentando algo novo...
