@Crochet468 Have you looked at the heart potholder? It has been posted for 2.5 years.  It will work as a square by just not doing the rounded segments.

I've just completed a second magic potholder with the crochet seed stitch. They are gorgeous--I love the seed stitch! As I was working I thought "What a beautiful cap the seed stitch would make." So...have you done a cap with the seed stitch?

I just signed up for an account in order to be able to say THANK YOU SO MUCH. My daughter has been wanting to learn to crochet for the past 3 years and could never catch on because she is left handed and I am not. What is the size difference between the two pot holder that you show and what is the chain or hook difference between the two. I love this!!

The hook is the same for both which is G. I used 20 foundation single crochet, Star Stitch with the large potholder. The small potholder is 6" the larger one is 7.5".

This is great, but I'm a little confused...if I want to make the bigger potholder in the seed stich with chainless foundation, how many foundation chains? Do I use less and make it taller? Or, do I double it from 26 to 52 FSC and make 24 rows.  Please help. We appreciate you for sharing all these wonderful videos with us.

You can do the 52 FSC and crochet the 24 rounds until the edges fit together. I would think that 24 rounds should be close to the amount of rows you would need. I did the larger potholder with the star stitch so the rows are different from the seed stitch. I think I had 18 rows but a different stitch will make a difference in the amount of rows.
