  • Can you use any type of yarn with this or just the cotton yarn?

  • Can you post a video of this only not in seed stitch? I would gladly be happy if so! (:

  • @Crochet468 I do plan on making the star stitch magic potholder.

  • @tjw1963 can you make one with regular crochet please? thank you so Much! (:

  • @tjw1963 I mean like regular crochet? Please do take into consideration! (:

  • @Crochet468 Have you looked at the heart potholder? It has been posted for 2.5 years. It will work as a square by just not doing the rounded segments.

  • @Crochet468 I have made completed a tutorial of this same potholder with the single crochet.

  • hey teresa i was wondering how u made the star stitch magic pot holder, i cant seem to figure it out.

  • @nikip27 I put that on my project list. What size potholder are you looking for?

  • @tjw1963 just an average size pot holder, thanks for taking the time to teach us, u do a wonderful job. :)

  • I've just completed a second magic potholder with the crochet seed stitch. They are gorgeous--I love the seed stitch! As I was working I thought "What a beautiful cap the seed stitch would make." So...have you done a cap with the seed stitch?

  • Dear Teresa, thank you for all your wonderful videos!

I've learned a lot from you.

For this pattern, I'm thinking of using it for a pillow cover, meaning to continue working till desired surface. Do you think it will work?

Thank you once again for all your efforts!

  • im sure you get all the women from your helpful videos, me on the other hand, you had me at hello

  • Thank you for the comment.

  • Thank you very much, I appreciate the comment.

  • Hi Teresa,

I have made several of thesse potholders and love them. Do you have a patt. for the star stich potholder?

  • I'm sorry I do not have one for the star stitch. The star stitch would make a really pretty magic potholder.

  • yes it workes beautifuly for a dishcloth!!

the results are fantastic!! thank you soooo much

  • You are welcome. Thank you for the feedback. This is a great way to give everyone other ideas to make with a basic stitch, shape or project.

  • Can you use this as a dishcloth??

    please answer! thank you

  • You probably could. It will be pretty thick. If you make one for a dishcloth, please share the results.

  • I made one of these for an Xmas gift. I was thrilled with how it turned out -- thanks to your tutorial! I totally have to make more of these for future gifts.

    Love your videos!

    Paula :)

  • Thank you Paula. They do turn out really nice. I like that they are nice and thick.

  • I made this last night, it turned out lovely! I use a J hook because it's more comfortable for me to work with.

  • I was just thinking that could also make a real cute purse!

  • what a lovley pot holder dear

  • Thank you. :)

  • I just signed up for an account in order to be able to say THANK YOU SO MUCH. My daughter has been wanting to learn to crochet for the past 3 years and could never catch on because she is left handed and I am not. After watching you video's she comes to me and says "mom I got it"! She is now making personalized pot holder's for christmas gifts for her friends moving off to college even.

  • Great to hear. I do have a few video tutorials specifically for lefties. Sound like she has it now.

  • I would like to thank you very much. You are so helpful, your the best thanks!!

  • Thank you. :)

  • Thx for Posting. I have never seen the chainless foundation before. Do you have an instructional vid on that?

  • Yes, I have three posted for the single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet.

  • What is the size difference between the two pot holder that you show and what is the chain or hook difference between the two. I love this!!

  • The hook is the same for both which is G. I used 20 foundation single crochet, Star Stitch with the large potholder. The small potholder is 6" the larger one is 7.5".

  • This is great, but I'm a little confused...if I want to make the bigger potholder in the seed stich with chainless foundation, how many foundation chains? Do I use less and make it taller? Or, do I double it from 26 to 52 FSC and make 24 rows. Please help. We appreciate you for sharing all these wonderful videos with us.

  • You can do the 52 FSC and crochet the 24 rounds until the edges fit together. I would think that 24 rounds should be close to the amount of rows you would need. I did the larger potholder with the star stitch so the rows are different from the seed stitch. I think I had 18 rows but a different stitch will make a difference in the amount of rows.

  • just what i need it! thx. oh, can you also do the one's that goes inside the pots handles e.g. cast irons

  • I am not quite sure what you are talking about. I imagine it is something I have probably seen but I can't picture it. A link to an image would be helpful. Maybe Wal-mart or Target would have an image. If you find a link, you can send it to my inbox or e-mail.

  • This is so cute, I love it. Thanks for posting!

  • Thank you.

  • nice :)

  • Thank you.

  • nice one as always ....seema.

  • Thank you.
