I live in new england and I keep getting buried by snow.................IT SUCKS!!!! If I were to toss one of my friends kids in the piles of snow we would never be able to find them, that is how ridiculous it is!
I have never been in a tornado however I have been in severe thunder storms multiple times. Which doesn't bother me now but like when I was younger and trees fell down I would absolutely freak. Well actually I sort of have been. A tornado hit by our lakehouse only a few blocks away and my family just sat in the front room and we didn't even hear a syrine and didn't find out about the tornado til we got home!
i've been through a tornado when I was like six. I kept wanting to play my games on the computer :P. And its because I'm in Texas.... and yeahh, tornado alley
I've never actually been in a tornado (knock on wood!) but one time a few months ago, or whenever Night at the Museum 2 came out, my family and I were at the theater watching NatM2 and the movie stopped because of electrical problems. Of course there were no windows in the theater so none of us knew what was going on. But when we drove home, the radio kept babbling about tornado warnings. When we finally got home we found out one of the trees in my backyard had fallen down. It was pretty crazy!
I've had many tornado warnings, and one that only got to the top of the trees, but never an incredibly dangerous one...we don't get many tornadoes here...
So when I was 10, summer of 1006 to be exact, my older sister decided to leave me home alone. Normally, I wouldn't mind this. Home alone, cool. And it was a beautiful day. But, as the day progressed, it decided to get REALLY messed up outside. And I was getting a little worried. So i get like, 3/4 of the way through that stupid movie RV, and all I hear is a siren, and I'm just like WTF?! So I run to the closet and call my mom crying because I'm alone. I have never liked storms ever sense.
So we call my grandma who lives only 45 minutes away, yet she wasn't getting any rain. : | She is telling us to be calm. She talks to us until my parents get home around midnight. ( this storm started around 10 PM.) My mom is still drunk, and my dad, not far from it. They tell us to quit spazing out, and went to go have their 'Fun' in their bedroom. (Weirddd) So, I watch the weather until the storm disipates around 3 AM then go to bed. The next day, it was bright and sunny...
We have a million pets in our house, so I grab the dogs, put them in a suitcase with a blanket in it, that was under the stairs, and tell them to stay with my sister down there, so I have to run my As$ upstairs, say my goodbyes to my crazy rabbit, grab my cell phone, and chase the cat and bring her downstairs with me. I call my parents but I can barely hear them over the tornado sirens, and the concert. So I hung up, called my moms cell, but she was drunk .(Lol) to be continued AGAIN.
Well, just a month ago, me and my 16 year old sister were home alone, because our parents were at a concert. And it was storming like hel| and my sisters Boyfriend calls her and says -"Babe, get in the basement now.' Then right after he said that the tornado sirens went off. I- having a extreme fear of tornado- am spazing out, while sister is sitting on couch saying a five minute 'I love you, be safe' to her boyfriend. So I scream at her to get her As$ downstairs. TO BE CONTINUED----
i live in the caribbean in an island called puerto rico and i have been throught huricanes and they say theres going to be near twenty hurricanes this year
Hey Kaleb i got good new. I was in a turnado a month ago! Well since we live in a trailer we were forced to go to my aunts house with has a basement! Well when she got here my mom locked the door and i said i forgot something! I got out of the truck opened our door ran to my room got my paper and pencil and of course my copy of... Bran Hambric The Farlied Curse! An our later we went outside and it was over! The crazy thing is that some how my aunts lawn want wet with all of that rain.
I moved to Oklahoma about 4 months ago, and not long ago a tornado passed by my work close enough to see. The worst part? I'm a SKATING carhop. Yup. I've skated in a tornado. What fun...
actually, there is a law....... sunshine is guaranteed to the masses in california. it is apparently not enforced, however.
yes, i have been in a tornado. they are quite common in iowa! :) i am quite frightened by them, however. the worst was when we were driving home from a relative's house and a tornado came within a mile of our house..... while we were not there.
I also used to live in Texas. When I was, like, four, or something, a tornado when sort of close to my old town (it was a small town), so my parents, sister and I got in a walk-in closet. My sister is like you, because she slept through the whole thing. My dad carried her into the closet. It was weird. yeah...
I was in the 4th grade and i looked out the classroom window and it was completly pitch balck. Then the schools alarm went off. we went into the girls locker room and my teacher told us that it was fine it is just a drill. And everyone was freaking out because we all saw how bad the storm before we got into the locker room someone started to cry saying we are going to die
I used to live in Texas and I was in... like a very short tornado. It was my sister's birthday and we were at some resteraunt. Okay, so we came out to go to our car and everything is just, GREEN! It was so windy and the rain hurt if it hit you. (Which it did) We got home and we were opening presents and all of a sudden the tornado siren goes off. We cram into a closet and just when we were closing the door the siren stopped. it was about.... yeah, 5 SECONDS!
It destroyed a trailer that was down the road, I remember waking up and they talking on the news about this trailer being destroyed, so I go outside and walk back to the back of our yard, and all of this debris stuff was caught in the trees back there. Then about a year ago there was a Tornado that actually touched down IN our yard. It picked up our trampoline completely and flung it over the neighbors house and hit his semi. That one was an e4.
Haha, YES! I live in Indiana... Lots of tornadoes... Like, two years ago, it was Fathers Day, and we were coming home and they were saying on the Chicago radio about all of these storms and stuff, and so we get home, and its all windy, and I look outside, and there is this huge funnel cloud going over our barn, and it picked up all of our pool toys! lol. Then when I was younger we were in the car and a telephone pole almost hit us. Then about 4 years ago there was one that completely destroyed..
Flew into Hurricane Wilma to go to Florida a few years back. My entire family thought it was fascinating and sat on the the enclosed porch of watching the trees bending in half and the rain falling horizontally. On the television they were announcing tornados within a 5 mile radius of us sitting there in Kissimmee. Perhaps I can dig up the videos and post them. LOL
When I was little and lived in North Carolina, my dad actually snored though a hurricane that truly flipped our huge red oak tree over onto our house! Well, I don't know that it was an oak tree, but it was pretty big! Don't feel sad because I think my dad has you beat!
if you recall hurricane Juan ummmm 2004? then a white "hurricane" juan the next jan. i was there for both, halifax, ns. if you google it. its the most snow ive been in everrr.
i'm not scared of bad weather, i usually find it fascinating, and am always the one that wants to run outside lol
Alberta never gets any really interesting weather...unless you count that it changes every five minutes. the worst i've ever seen was this wind storm that knocked the power out for 3 hrs, blew over our grain bins and ripped the top half this huge tree off and flung it across our front yard onto our driveway. i had to go out and try to move it by myself (didn't work out so well).
I used to live in Kansas when I was little and we had a tornado take our roof off. I was more scared when my dad ran out into the backyard because he forgot our dogs, than when the actual tornado hit...
so virginia got a tiny part of hurricane katrina and a house like 3 blocks down the street caught on fire, my next door neighbors house was FINE and a tree fell on our house. it was my room. fail.
there's 2 big tornados ive been through one was on mothers day and i basically slept through it and o lot of houses to the left of me was collapsed houses and nothing but the roof left and the other one just happen like last yr and we were in a church building(my youth group)and we just sat there and we got no damge but if u went up the rode a little then there was like nothing ledt of houses it was crazy
OH, concerning weird weather, I live in Ohio and there was this GINORMOUS windstorm thing that was the aftermath of some hurricane. It was insane, I was just walking around outside, through a forest and stuff, but it was crazy I got nailed with a branch and the power was out for a week. It felt funny, I was sure all the people in Florida were looking at us flounder and laughing...just like we do when it snows down there.
I was in a tornado about 5 years ago, it was seriously scary! There was so much damage, but luckily only a few people got hurt and no one died :) Still it took about a year to get things back to normal, but of course around the same time the next year another tornado came through, but with less damage. Freaky stuff!!
I was in a tornado when I was around 2 years old. We didn't go to America cause it was hurricane season, so we went to a little island near spain. We got booked into a hotel and we were sent to the top floor, mum asked if we could move cause she didn't want me falling off the balcony. We got moved to the thrid floor, A tornade hit the hotel that night, I slept right through it. Dad went up to see the damage on the top floor, turns out getting moved saved out lives, the roof was blown off.
now everyone loves kaleb, i have been a true fan since twilight guy, we both are guys and love twilight, and are both writing a book, we are like brothers
I have lived in Kansas for 19 years, so there are many tornadoes every year. I work at a hotel, so the hardest part when the sirens go off is keeping guests calm, and calling them to tell them what to do.
I've lived in Miami, fl my entire life and have had to go through EVERY single hurricane that has decided to hit us. After a while, you stop worrying about them unless they say that it's for sure gonna be a cat 4 or 5 when it hits us. A couple of summers ago we had this one hurricane that ripped the roof off of an enclosed patio across they lake where I live and it flew off and hit another house and smashed some of it's shingles off. I've also been through earthquakes and volcanoes in costa rica
I live in Missouri, right smack in the middle of Tornado Alley. So yeah, I've been through quite a few tornadoes. The scariest part is when the sky turns green.
Well, it was really windy, and the tornado was in the next town over! My bestie was freaking out so much, and I was like "What's the big deal? Yeah I feel sorry for them, but it's NOT going to hit us!!!!" But other than that, no, I have not lived through a tornado. In fact I am dead, right now.
oh yes, I live in Florida and in 2004 we had four hurricanes and the worst one (scariness wise) was Charlie and we had these shutters that you couldn't see out of but they made the wind sound like some sort of angry monster... it was pretty terrifying... then in the morning we came outside and it was like a completly different world
I was in hurricane Floyd, and what made it even better was that I was on vacation for my birthday. We still have the papers from the disney world resort that were shoved under the doors to us.
When i was 13 One day during school the power went out and we were laughn and screamn. Then we heard wind, and we kept laughn and jokn Then our principal came on and said"assume tornado positions THIS IS NOT A DRILL" we all live in VA so tornados NEVER happen here so we all go into the hall and of course i am last out Our school has almost no windows but of course i had to be the last one out and put next 2 the window so i could watch the whole thing :-D then we were held after school for 2 hrs
I was in a tornado when i was 6ish. we were driving somewhere and got caught in a huge traffic jam, and then the wicked thunderstorm started....i blame this event for my phobia of thunderstorms.
i was in hurican isabella in virginia one of my neighbors trees fell right in the middle of there home it was kinda cool my family and i just played games and hung out i loved it i was like 7 or 8 lol
I live in New Orleans so you could say I've been through a hurricane or two :) I love storms though. I find it relaxing to listen to the rain and wind. We have a lot of lightning storms here, too. I just love it when the sky lights up in all different colors :)
yes! hurricane IKE! in houston tx. was gonna up to dallas to stay with family there...but decided to ride it out. not the greatest idea, it was so scary! and we had a city power outage. some people were without power for over a month. we had a city wide curfew and there was tons of damage. next hurrican...im going to dallas.
That's actually exactly what I was about to say. haha I live really close to the University of Houston and I had no power for 2 weeks. The only reason we didn't go was because of back when Rita hit we actually left to Dallas and took us 16 hours and then nothing happened. Boy were we wrong about Ike.
we had a tornado in Arkansas the day before this! along with massive flooding... good times.
i LOVE severe weather!! i mean i don't like the destruction and people die and such, but i love the rush of adrenaline from tornadoes and things of that nature.
Ive been through so many living in Arkansas though, growing up w/ them has made me immune to their scariness i suppose.
Hurricane Katrina, and hurricane Wilma shortly after, sucked bc the power was out for a while, but it was a fun adventure, only a few trees fell around our house, it was just cool to see everything outside going crazy and parts fo peoples roofs falling off from the houses next door...
haha I sleep through everything too! One night when I was holidaying in a hotel in Vancouver the fire alarm went off I just kinda ignored it, rolled over and went back to sleep. (just spending 18hrs on an uncomfortable plane chair allows u to sleep through anything lol) The next morning I found out that the whole high rise had been evacuated and the fire dept. came! Luckily it was just a false alarm :P
Okay, so when I was born, There was a huge storm. THIRTEEN years later, night before my birthday, there was another huge storm. The news guy said there hadnt been another storm like that in Portland since (the day I was born). NOT KIDDING. SEEMS LIKE SOMEONE DOES NOT LIKE ME BEING ON EARTH, HUH?
i was in a tornado once it was one of my friends birthday and we had to hide in the basement i didn't even know if it was any where near me till the next monday at school.
Yeah i know, i'm writing a book with one of my friends and she does social things while i sit at my laptop, typing away like an idiot but the final product is the best..
hehe. I was born in a hurricane but I moved so soon after that I never was in another one. It makes me sad in a weird way because I really want to experience something like that. Like earthquakes aren't really that bad. As for the strange windy non-sunnyness welcome to California Kaleb :)
i wenty through hurricane ike. to me, it wasn't bad but to everyone else, they wanted to leave and go north. After the hurricane i wanted to go to galveston right away to go fishing!LMAO!
i've never been through a tornado or hurricane. but there was a lightning strike about 10feet from my house and completely snapped a 60foot tree...that was soo scary!!
i once went on holiday to florida ( i live in England) and one day we had to stay in the hotel room all day becuase Hurricane Wilma was close-by and there was a hurricane warning. It was wayyyy scary cause in Britain the worst weather we have is like gale force hale etc.
Never been through a tornado, but I had to evacuate for a hurricane a few summers ago while visiting Florida. And earthquakes aren't all that fantasmic. In my personal opinion, they're a bit scary.
hahaa!! where i live, there's no hurricanes or tornados! sometimes they report funnel clouds but they don't touch the ground. & we sometimes have really bad thunderstorms and stuff but they aren't hurricanes .. i dont think. i actually love storms! ha idk y. they are just really cool.
I was on a cruise ship in the carribean during the hurricane... the waves were going over the top of the 17 story ship..... the paintings on the walls where swaying to 90 degrees of the wall were werent aloud out side.... and everyone was sick...
Also a micro burst(Minny Bouuncing tornado) went down the street behind me...
I actually had SO much fun. I slept through most of the actual hurricane and we lost our power for two weeks (No school FTW!) It was so much fun just getting to sit around and chill out all day. I got caught up on my reading list and some sleep and flew a kite and played some soccer with friends I hadn't seen in a long time. :)
Yeaah I've never been in a Tornado, or a hurricane, or an earthquake... I live in the UK, we don't get many!! I knew someone who was like in a mini tornado that just ripped a couple of roof tiles off... And I think there are earth tremors in some places. I remember being five and being in this massive storm that lasted like two days and we had no power, but I don't think it reached hurricane forces...
I live where there are funnel clouds, but none of them ever touch down and if the do they don't touch down for very long. The land isn't flat enough. But I have lived through an earthquake. Spring 2001 in Washington state. The epicenter was near Seattle.
It's always been a dream of mine to become one of those hermit writers. Never leaving the house, no outside obligations. Just me and my stories. Ahh... bliss.
I've never been in a tornado, and never want to be! The idea totally freaks me out. I have had like 5 or 6 dreams though, that i remember, that involved Tornados. I drove through like 3 of them trying to drive down the road to my house. It was bizarre, but that's the closest I've come!
did anyone tell you that you flip all of your r's? It's funny.
Anyway. Hurricane Katrina moved north into maryland and virginia. and there were tornadoes everywhere. One chased us for 3 miles. it was a good time...
I was inside a P&S School supplies store when the funnel cloud starting forming really close to us. And then everyone in the store had to go to the women's restroom and stay there for thirty minutes.
Hurricane Charley went over my house back in 2004. I don't remeber anything about it because I am like Kaleb I slept through it. I woke up and my mom was like "You sure can sleep through anything"
Anywho epic video and great idea of getting a second channel. I am actually thinking about doing that too even though I have only 15 subscribers. People you should subscribe : )
oo me too!! i slept through this HUGE earthquake and it caused a ton of damage. all our trees fell down and all the stuff fell off my sheves. i was like oo what happened. lol
Oh yeah, I've been through lots of tornado's and hurricanes. I actually have a video up that shows the damage the last hurricane did in my town. If you see the pictures of things that are twisted and wrapped around stuff, you can tell it was a tornado during the hurricane.
No I live in Ireland so it's like rain and wind 24/7 :P No but seriously it's been raining non stop since like thursday, and only today it was like finally sunny.
What is interesting about rain here is that it actually falls horizontally. Yeah. It's the goddamn wind :P
So yeah come to Ireland it's fun :D and bring 1 umbrella for each day that you're here, you can be 99% sure that it's gonna break as soon as you go out xD
last year i was home alone and the tornado alarm went off and I had no idea what it was, and later my dad was like you should have gone into the basment haha
Let's see. We get plenty of Hurricanes/Tornados. I was in atleast 10 tornados, and lets see. Hurricane Ivan, Opal, Katrina, and a few others I can't name right off hand. (:
Of courseI have. You know the weather here in north Texas. The now have lightning sirens on all of the schools. They went off and my darling husband goes outside to look at the sky. I said, "Hey Old man, The sirens are there to tell you to go inside!" Texas Men...what can you do?
although once i was at a relatives house who lives on the outskirts of our city, and we saw what looked like one on a hill, but then it disappeared after a little while i think,
I was in a Tornado when I was like, 7 or 8. It went right by my house. It was really cool, considering I didn't know what was going on! Anyway, eathquakes are cool to an extent. The after shocks rock, though. Have fun Kaleb!!
I experienced Hurricane Ike in Texas last year... that was a blast. I go to school in Houston, so they crowded us all into the common room, and we basically had a huge college age sleep over. It was cool.
Never been in an actual tornado, but when I was in college one summer it seemed like we had horrible storms at least twice a week, complete with tornado sirens.. One time I got stuck in the basement of one of the buildings. It was awful! So the next time it stormed and the sirens went off, I left anyways and it was so windy that my umbrella broke... I drove home and my mom was mad at me for ignoring it. There never was a real tornado tho, so I'm not scared of bad weather! :)
Yeah well I live in Miami so we have a hurricane season. I remember my neighbor to my right had a tree in his backyard and it was like uprooted and it cracked the cement and everything. And the damage went through to the person in back of him but not to us. It was fun to watch though.
TEXAS! Yes, several.

Don't feel sad because I think my dad has you beat!

i'm not scared of bad weather, i usually find it fascinating, and am always the one that wants to run outside lol

OH, concerning weird weather, I live in Ohio and there was this GINORMOUS windstorm thing that was the aftermath of some hurricane. It was insane, I was just walking around outside, through a forest and stuff, but it was crazy I got nailed with a branch and the power was out for a week. It felt funny, I was sure all the people in Florida were looking at us flounder and laughing...just like we do when it snows down there.
chocolemonade 2 years ago

That's actually exactly what I was about to say. haha I live really close to the University of Houston and I had no power for 2 weeks. we had a tornado in Arkansas the day before this! along with massive flooding... good times.
i LOVE severe weather!! i mean i don't like the destruction and people die and such, but i love the rush of adrenaline from tornadoes and things of that nature.

Yeaah I've never been in a Tornado, or a hurricane, or an earthquake... I live in the UK, we don't get many!! I knew someone who was like in a mini tornado that just ripped a couple of roof tiles off... And I think there are earth tremors in some places.
