Bad Company 2 is pretty much unplayable. It ALWAYS lags, no matter what connection, the game is just like this video. Fucking amateurs that worked on the multiplayer.

@Sargeman1911 Please tell me you're not one of those retards who think I am adressing frame lag. I mean of course internet lag spikes. I think BC2 might be the most poorly programmed game for multiplayed gameplay. Don't you ever notice how when you play you have to pump about 20 rounds into people instead of about 8 before they die? It's simply because the game is laggy and there's a delay. Most often it takes a while to drop enemies, like a 1 sec delay.That is unacceptable for an expensive game

Yes there is a delay when you fire the bullet but that's just the realism that dice are trying to put into the game. It's not poorly put together by amateurs and it really just comes down to your internet connection. Oh yer and don't call me a retard ;)

@Sargeman1911 Maybe it's the servers? That is sort of what it is about. But it's not just some servers, it's all servers! I have never found a server where it said that anyone on the server had like 30 ping, that you would find in some games like Counter-strike. No, on every single server, everyone on the server has above 100. In other games, I do not join servers that has a constant ping over 75. That's when you start becoming seriously irritated by the delays.

@Sargeman1911 The fact that everyone except you suffers from exceptionally bad lag for a game goes to show that the biggest issue that they should've spent a lot of energy fixing has not been adressed at all. Seriously, check the tab when you're in game next time you play and tell me what it says your ping is.

@Sargeman1911 That would make more sense than if you played on a PC. This introduces a theory I was not aware of before, that XBOX 360 runs BC2 more smoothly. Let me tell you, 99 % of everyone who plays it on PC suffers from more than 100 ping. I've seen some cases where it was like somewhat constant on 90 but it didn't seem to make any remarkable difference.

BC2 graphic wise runs without choppyness in regard to frames per second on a good PC but not even having one hell of a speedy internet connection does anything to decrease the lag. I suppose it's just the way it was designed on the PC, flawed.

Slashes can and will kill people... They are actually more effective since you do not lunge and need to recover. The hit registry error IS caused by server or other lag. I get this often with bullets. The enemy will wince and bleed but I get no hit marker. There are setting you can mess with in your .ini files to help with hit registry.

also the distance you play against people becomes a problem. the further away the more ping there will be which is lost packets of data. BC@ has a habbit of playing people from australia, america and england in the same match simultaneousness

Yes ive opene the ports and all tht stuff for nothing coz thts only usuful if u want to create a server ur self. YEah it kinda sucks, but there is a remedy, its called Black OPS, or for those taht likes BF games, the 2142 doesnt lag.

I can totally sympathize, its the servers usually, they're not ran efficiently. They degrade a server to work on other servers. I have had numerous LAG scenarios that have resulted in my death and frustration. Example entire m416 clip body shot at range of <20 meters. Reloading and then I get shot by mg3 and die, btw i fired first.

Hello.. I know this video is old but I'm having some trouble at this game and I'm here asking for help. I have a 4MB internet speed but always I enter in any server of BFBC2, my ping reaches 300/400 high. After like 5 min my ping reaches 250 but it's nost stable, going from 250 to 350 or more. My internet is not shared and this happens only with BFBC2.

Usually it takes me two lunges to kill a target, even one standing still.

Sometimes my rockets hit tanks and don't register.

At times they slip under the tank, too.

And then there's the issue where I lose my xp, and revert to the default classes with basic weapons and no specs.

The servers weren't too bad when I started playing, but they seem to have gotten a lot worse.

You only fail with knife hits when you are not close enough. I've had several mis stabs and those were all because i was just not close enough. And the reason that the camera spins around the target is to make the animation seem smooth, the knife will automatically stab in the direction of the enemy

Great game but I can rarely play on a server without major lag issues like this. It's a shame that I spent 40 dollars and the developers have yet to fix this issue. Note, I don't get lag in most TF2 and L4D2 servers so it has to be the game.
