  • what about falling through pincha mayurasana?

  • I never do the roll, always do the bridge and have always been fine. Just get your feet down first.

  • oh my god! i tried this but in the last moment.. I can't fall.. I dont feel capable!! I feel fear!! Can anyone help me?

    thanks!!!

  • thanks.. that was quite inspiring!

  • Honestly, that falling stuff looks terrifying!

  • how about handstand forward roll? Is it better way to fall forward than bridge.. (I have heard about bridge that it can hurt your back)

So can I do "falling trough headstand" to falling trough handstand on same way like rolling. hmph?=/ I hope u got it :D

  • @eakemppu Go for the handstand forward roll if you can pull it off, but it's a lot of mass moving very fast and you have to make a smooth contact with your upper spine which is going to require a lot of upper body control and strength. I'd say it's a more dangerous move than the fall into bridge.

  • that's an awesome video! thanks so much for posting it!!!

  • i think i will first try that tri head stand one , i think its easier...............ZA

  • woh! thanks alot man , i can fall with grace form my head stand now , but from hand stand is a little bit difficult , but i am trying , when i will be able to do it , i will comment it again , Tkanks again.......^_^........ZA

  • Great explanation/analogy!

  • it's so hard to find this kind of tutorials.

    great job! =)

  • Relax and don't panic ?

If people are falling they are almost certainly not relaxed and will panic don't you think ?

    Just don't fall.

  • Falling is part of growth.

  • wrong, it's the same principle that allows parkour practitioners and free runners to jump from very high heights without hurting themselves. You must be relaxed, don't panic, non tense and absorb the impact.

  • No, I'm not wrong actually.

We are not talking about circus clowns or idiots whose bodies will be completely fucked eventually, we are talking about yoga practitioners and due to the nature of this instructive video they are likely to be beginners.

Perhaps in a ideal world everybody would be perfectly relaxed in everything they do but that is not the case, at least for quite some time.

Like I said, just don't fall.

  • Handstand or headstand off the wall are not poses for beginners.

  • Well if that's the case then they are not handstands or headstands, they are wall stands aren't they ?

  • "Just don't fall" is not an actionable piece of advice. What can a person do with that?

  • you're so cute! lovely xplaination! I've been stuck to the wall for ages for my handstand! will try this, thanks!

  • You're videos are fabulous!Always interesting and informative. Thank you very much for sharing and keep on the great work!

    Thanks!!

  • Thanks! that is about where I am with handstand, and I practice at home so I have to figure out how to get away from the wall. This will help me.

  • huh? say what? he died? lol, tragedy, but i like how you said that

  • Hey man, Thank you for those awsome demos, and taking all those falls, very nice video,

I'm a yoga teacher as well, and you video has helping me a lot. :-)

  • I've been looking for something like this for the longest time, can't wait to try it. Thanks a bunch!!!

  • love your videos thanks

  • Thankyou! Priceless info to combat the fear...

  • I've been teaching people safe falling for many years in martial arts classes. This is really excellent instructional material!

One extra note is to breathe out from the belly as you fall, which helps relaxation and reduces the chance of being jarred or winded.

  • Great point, I never thought about it but that makes a lot of sense.

  • but im wondering, is there another way to fall? what if I tuck and roll like the way you explained for the the headstand?

thank you for your esoteric advice!!! it was so hard to find this!

  • EEEaarrnhardt!!

  • thank you sooo muchhh!

  • weird ,I have been thinking of how to get off the wall these days and here comes the video. awesome video.

  • Srsly, ow is right! Remember when we first opened and a I fell out of headstand onto a gigantic planter? Yeah, when practicing, make sure the room is clear of...everything.

  • Great videos! I love all the anologies you do. These videos help me in my practice as you show how to do things right and wrong. Are you a yoga instructor working in Japan?

  • Yep, I can be found most days at my studio, Yoga Garden, in Yokohama.

  • These videos are the most informative yoga videos I've ever seen and really help me with my Yoga. Please keep posting!

Post more often! I check your channel every day.
