  • congratulations =)

  • I was LoganOKAN ^^

And I had been playing an hour a day at that time.

I've got a short attention span, however, so I went on to learn other songs after I got halfway with this. I'll eventually finish it. I uploaded a cover, too. I'll make it a video response.

  • you capture every emotion of the song it just get better everytime I listen to it I wish I can put the song on my ipod so I can listen to it whenever I want

  • YOU ARE SO AWESOME!!!

  • I just got like 3 comments in 1 day on my radical dreamers piano vid (after none for 2 weeks) I was like "wtf?" but then I saw I was a related vid to yours haha

  • what i like about your version is that you play the singing part on the guitar also unlike others who just cover the instrumental

  • Beautiful =)

  • @twotorches and you're pretty cute too xD

  • Dude do you mind arranging Lenna's Theme from final fantasy 5? I'll be forever in your debt if you do :3

  • how long did it take to learn this song?

  • @dara9837 hard to say...while I arrange music I am constantly playing it, trying to figure out how to make it work. My style of arranging derives from my ability as a guitarist, as I play everything I arrange; that's how I come up with it. It's a reason I can't come up with anything as difficult as something from say Don Ross...because I don't have the ability to play it and because I am looking for ways of arranging music that, while tricky, are not unattainable for the vast majority.

  • @dara9837 So, that being said...it took as long as it took to arrange the piece and run through it a few times as, like I said, each individual section were pieces I worked out that I could play that were later constituted into a whole. It takes much less time to learn because for one, I am learning while I am arranging, and two, I am arranging what I am able to play. Both work to my advantage. But learning music by other people? I am pretty slow.

  • you're pretty good!

  • @chonisn Don't be an asshole!

  • 2:51 Epic.

  • Amazing... just, amazing

  • so when are you release all this to itune cuz i would love to have all your music to listen to at work

  • wonderful

  • Je t'aime <3

  • Great guitar playing, but you suck at recording and uploading vids. You need better recording equipment and upload in 720p instead of 240p.

  • love this song and your interpretation of it...by the way, i was wondering, what guitar are you using in this? sounds great

  • What a marvelous performance! Really amazing!

  • that's absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to play. Awesome.

  • My favourite rendition of this song on youtube. I started teaching myself a guitar 6 months ago, just so one day I would be able to play this song just like you. Can only do the main theme or the background theme at a time, with a few errors, and an aching wrist...:(

  • Top dos Top!

  • I love how often you've replied to people's comments. You're awesome kabukibear I love your videos and have gone through your tabs (got this one, ff9 battle theme, and my favorite star light zone memorized) keep up the good work man.

  • sooooooooo good. I enjoy the pace =)

  • you look very pissed about something.

  • applause..

  • Tom Welling?

  • Kabuki.. dude.. you need to get an HD camera for your videos!!

  • I love~!!

  • Tricky for you, impossible for me. I can't get my fingers doing the chords right.

  • @LoganOKAN just do it slow OVER and OVER again. i went through the same thing when learning bass with anesthesia (metallica) and maxwell murder (rancid). not even close to the same style but had to do the same thing to learn the song; play it at like 1/2 tempo over and over til it just clicked... idk hard to explain. was a long time ago haha

  • @TheLastZiggen I recently started trying it again, after learning some of Lonlonjp's easier songs with that method, and now I'm able to do the intro perfectly fine. I just can't get the singing part in there. :/

  • Beautiful! Very nice performance, you're very talented.

  • Wow!

  • O.O!! u got it!!!! awesome ! im looking for the tab can u help me?? any way i really like ur version

  • @TheTavoRO The link for the tab is below the video :)

  • 2:51 Makes Me Wanna Cry, Fucking EPIC !!!!!!!!!

  • I went from electrical to an acoustic because of you. Countimg this will be the 4th song I learned that you covered. Remiscence being my favorite and my best. Thank you.

  • you are my hero bro. you play that so well! im a huge fan of CC im glad to see someone else is too. dont forget to keep playing and capture the hearts of those around you.

  • always want to know how to play such long songs perfectly when the CAMERA is watching :/ I always mess up so damn bad when recording that I'll always toss it aside and try again in about 2 or something xD

any tips ? ;) like imagine the crowd (camera) is naked ? lol

  • @AvaTheRose Yeah, I have the sheet music sitting on the desk in front of me. I am reading that. A lot of the time, after I arrange a piece of music I will just run through it a few times and then go ahead and record it. I don't spend the time it would take to memorize the piece because that would take a long time per piece and you wouldn't see videos as often. XD

  • one of my goals is be able to play this lol.

    and god, ITS HARD.

  • most people who cover this song dont do the singing part but u do the whole song and make it look so easy wish i was this good

  • Unlike so many covers on YouTube, this was everything that I could have hoped for and then some. You NAILED it. Thanks so much for bringing this beautful sound here!!

  • So good I have to hear it again. Man, you played that flawlessly.

  • Nice work!!

  • best cover ever

  • amazing...super..

  • dude ur badass id also like to hear u do a slowed down version if possible

  • zach braff can play guitar!

    jk mate beautiful rendition! :D

  • @mynameisniu A doctor and a musician. I'm so talented. XP

  • @kabukibear And incredibly charismatic person and terrific comedian

  • @mynameisniu i'm pretty sure he's sidney crosby

  • Great cover. Sounds really good.

  • @LoganOKAN when learning a new technique (be it sweeping, finger picking, flamenco -- whatever) just find a song that you like that implements the technique and beat that song to hell and back. by the time youre done youll have the technique down :D. thats how i learned haha.

  • @TheLastZiggen bahaah, that's what i'm doing now actually. I'm doing it with Lonlon's version of prisoners of fate.

  • @LoganOKAN So easily?! Just because it seems to come easily doesn't mean it began that way. I've said before, but when I got my first guitar I played 3-4 hours a day every day. Unless you are born a Mozart, music is one of those things that will only improve based on what you decide to put into it. If you play for an hour a week, you will improve...but just think, if you put in an hour a day, you will improve SEVEN TIMES AS FAST. And what is an hour really? An episode of American Idol? do it!

  • @kabukibear I do, and i can do Lonlon's version of prisoners of time now, but this is still killing me. I'm prolly not timing the main beat right.

  • @kabukibear you are my hero

  • dude you know how to tribute =]

  • you are a gift

  • You're inspirational! Thanks so much for your tabs and these fantastic vids. :)

  • Brilliant!!

  • a bit too fast(i think at least), but still GREAT!

  • @PanMajin Yeah I think I am like 10 bpm faster than the original. Chalk it up to nerves. :)

  • Don't you ever blink??? O.o

  • @Re1Mu2R3 Lol, yes...but not as much when I'm watching something closely, in this case reading the sheet music. You know the feeling of gaming for awhile and when you stop you realize you haven't blinked very much and your eyes hurt...same thing.

  • dude...is there any way you could post a tutorial for this song? that'd be awesome.

  • best cover on solo guitar I heard

  • @camo0309 this guy must be influenced by lonlonjp

    try his channel too

  • @SmellyWeenis Who must be influenced by lonlonjp? Kabukibear?

  • @SmellyWeenis

    thanks!

    my fav guitarlist is takaf221.

please try his channel too ,and watch this.

    watch?v=BykWlIjeWlk

  • fucking in love with this song!! MUST LEARN IT!!!!!!!!! WOOOHOOO xD

  • Magnifique!!!!!!!

  • great skills, gratz !

  • looks like stop motion, stillgood tho

  • dude amazing a little fast but still amazing

  • dude, i have to tell you.

im a big fan, and you made me wanna play classic guitar even more.

thx for covering the great Mitsuda ;)

  • bravo! :')

  • nice!

  • Pretty awesome My full respekt but your giong to fast XD

  • EPIC

  • Pow o cara tentou fazer a voz no violão o.O Acho que "violão é violão" e "voz é voz",

cada um no seu quadrado, não gostei u.u'

  • Eu acho que vc tem é que trabalhar a sua inveja. Já é difícil fazer so o acompanhamento imagine a voz e o acompanhamento juntos.

  • You look like bob dylan.

  • Extremely good rendition, and thanks very much for including the tab! But playing this on steel string is going to be a bit trickier.

  • awesome!

  • My head hurts from tilting for 4.21mins

  • you are awsome

  • awesome , that's simply Awsome , good job man !

  • Its funny how when I play it, It doesn't sound beautiful...

  • Its really beautiful. I'm so gonna learn it, it might take me a whole month after my exams though..

  • @7Dolce7gabbanA7

    took me 5 months

  • @Kheldim I've learnt half the song already! And can play quite smoothly, guess another day or 2 after my exams will do.

  • perfect!!

  • my favorite song from Chrono Cross.

people who say chrono cross sucks and only chrono trigger should exists are idiots who are afraid of anything different

granted that chrono trigger is an amazing game in itself but chrono cross is a whole different and equally amazing adventure with a kickass soundtrack to boot

  • you are the best number 1 seriously

  • I would love to have you at a bonfire party!

  • Note perfect well done

  • I finally learned this song after a few months, but I still cant play it anywhere near as good as kabuki bear. His dynamics and perfect focus on the right notes to bring out all the melody is amazing. Maybe I can get that down.

  • Dude... Respect... Very very nicely done...

  • i love you <3

  • Really good! Could you do this on an ukulele too?

  • Holy lord, how are you fingering this?

  • Awesome cover!

Do you have the Guitar Pro file of this arrengement?

  • @TaihenFlz uhm, sir. I think that would offend kabukibear, because he's the one arranging the pieces he play here on youtube as well as on gametabs

  • @guitarnoobie07 Hahahaha. Sorry, I didn´t mean that. XD I just asked because I have just finished making the Guitar Pro 5 file of kabukibear´s, and as it can be exported as a PDF, it will be more atractive to the fans. I just want to help the good music. =D

  • @TaihenFlz Yeah, I know my link goes to a txt tab, but if you look near the top it says "download" and it will download a zip file that contains txt, pdf, gp, and midi files. I guess people might get confused when they see the link going to just txt tabs but all my videos link to zip files containing everything. :) Thanks for the hard work!

  • @kabukibear :O I see. I must be more observant next time.

  • @TaihenFlz hahaha. I see. Sorry 'bout that. :D. A PDF file will be good, but I think Justin didn't added it to his link, because most of the people in the music/guitar world don't care about music notations etc etc. I want to study music notations and the likes in connection to the guitar, but it's still impossible for me at this time.

  • @TaihenFlz I mean, he's the one who arranged it. Ofcourse he has the files. no offense. peace man.

  • I am a really big fan of the game and of this beautiful song. When I saw you playing on the guitar, it was really a moment of serernity and peace. You're really a good guitar player. Thank you very much for sharing it !

  • Amazing.... you are just amazing!

  • That song is great!

  • I'm interested in playing finger style, would you recommend I grow my fingernails out? I have fat fingers so it does get in the way a bit. I'm sure when I become more experienced, that won't be so much of a problem. What do you think?

  • @iforgot114 we bought have the same kind of problem, only slighter on my part. Well, I recommend you grow your fingernails out if you are already finished schooling. On the other hand, I can't grow my fingernails freely, because I'm still schooling, but I can still play well. Playing with grown fingernails or not, it's still you who will decide what best suits you. If you're using regular/medium tension strings, it's better to have grown out nails for a brighter tone.

  • damn hard piece, but I´ll try to learn this one, it´s awesome

  • DUDE YOU A FREAKING PRO... this brings back so many memories of that game

  • Excellent, I admire you very much, I really like your videos and how you play .. xD

  • A-MAZZZZ-ZZZZIING !!!

  • Comment removed

  • amazing great job. what kind of recording device did you use. mine sucks ass.its a crappy camera

  • You, sir, have compelled me to change my guitar lesson focus from "electric guitar rocking out" to "acoustic fingerpicking".

  • Ive been practicing this song for SO long and very sadly i cant get down the intro from :05 - :07. Ive looked everywhere for tutorials! Can someone please show me the finger placements? i must have watched this video a hundred times and i still cant get it. :(

  • @CFspades

    I play it like this:

Barre 2nd fret with your index finger, b-minor chord fingering, play the arpeggio, then

Move your index finger so it's only barring the top 4 strings, open all other fingers except your ring finger on the 4th fret of the D string, and play the arpeggio

I can put up a video if you really want, this arrangement is so amazing I want everyone to be able to play it!

  • @psion0011

That's how I was trying to play it i guess it's just a little tricky for me to bar those 4 strings. Ill keep at it though and with enough practice anything is possible! Thanks for the help! :)

  • @psion0011

Actually a video would be amazing if you have time! I have only been playing for a couple months now but im very dedicated to learn and really want to learn this arrangement correctly! Thanks a bunch!

  • You've always been an ongoing inspiration. Now that you're back, I can direct people your way to youtube when they ask what I'm playing in public. We missed you loads.

  • You are awesome, 10/10!! Im learning much of your songs, you are playing very well and you are talented. Classical guitar fit you perfectly

  • kabuki! Why did u disappear from gametabs?

Where do u post ur tabs now?

  • kabuki! why did u disappear from gametabs?

where do u post ur tabs now?

  • I remember seeing this vid on your old account. You still amaze me. :O

I gotta learn this one of these days.

  • So your goal is to get people into classical guitar? Well, you got me quite motivated. Because of you I ended up ordering Shearer's and Pumping Nylon last week! Will start studying as soon as I'm through with exams next week ;)

  • @abraham1g

Agreed that guy is obviously just jealous! You rock dude keep on keeping on. Classical is the best and your style is awesome reminds me of myself wish i could play as well as you maybe one day. Well great video i hope people like Melas or however you spell his name dont discourage you, amazing stuff man.

  • @SalemJeanetteful

Your Comment Is Just Ridiculous In Every Possible Way..To Undermine This Beautiful Song And Talent Is Beyond Stupidity..Its Truly Sad..And What You Dont Realize Is That 16 People Besides Yourself Actually Missed The Thumps Up Button..Its Sad Reading A Comment Like Yours And Knowing Someone Actually Thinks This Isnt Spectacular..

Anyways Justin This Is Amazing Bro..I Will Learn This Song And Post A Video When I Do Thanking You For This Arrangement And All Your Hard Work..

  • Dude, you're great!

  • @SalemJeanetteful haha jealous are you? this guy's version is absolutely amazing.

  • @SalemJeanetteful yes, they deserve a high five... from a bear

  • @SalemJeanetteful - May I ask, why do you dislike this????

  • If I may ask, right after you play the first ending on the solo portion, do you then proceed to play the second ending before going back to the beginning?

  • @Fusakiri No, you play the first ending, then go back to the beginning. Play through it again and when you get to the first ending this time, rather than playing, completely skip the first ending, and play the second ending. Then continue on.

  • @kabukibear oh ok hold on tho right at the start of 47 seconds and ending at the tip end of 49 seconds what was that little jingle its not in the tabs unless im blind lol and I think I gotta be.. sorry to ask but I gotta know

  • @Fusakiri I don't really know what to tell you, it's measure 13.

  • @kabukibear yea lol I was reading it a little off I'm sorry for the odd question. Thank you for clarifying. I can finally play this now, would you mind if I made an attempt on youtube? haha

  • @Fusakiri Of course you can, I accept all video responses. Definitely give it a go!

  • @Fusakiri When I was first learning this I was a little confused about that myself. It took me a week or two to get it all straight (and I'm still not absolutely sure of this).

Justin (kabukibear) is right, it's measure 13. But I think what may be confusing you is that measure 12 is labeled [1st ending] when really (I believe) that the first ending is measure 13. In turn, measure 14 should be labeled 2nd ending instead of measure 13 (but I could be wrong :/).

    Confusing enough for you? :P

  • @Rixonomic haha. I had that problem also. Probably, Justin unconsciously misplaced the indicators. :D

oh and btw, have you already finished learning this arrangement?

  • @Rixonomic Eek! You're absolutely right! I don't know how I messed that up, I'll change it to help any other confusion. Thanks!

  • @Rixonomic ok, it's fixed. If you are going off the pdf file or gp file it would have read correctly, but when gp imports it all into txt it doesn't include any of the ending markers, so I have to put them in by hand. Looks like I messed that up but it should read correctly now. Thanks :)

  • Thanks a lot for the awesome tab. Great job KB. Really look forward to your new stuff. Do you think you could give arranging a classical version of Ryu's Theme from Street Fighter II a shot? Hell, any Street Fighter II track would be great. Kabukibears choice. Anyways keep up the phenomenal playing!

  • Can you put the MP3 of this songin the info box, like you did in Reminiscence? D:

  • I'm impressed.

  • Amazing. Do you mind if i make gay homo filled love to your fingers? :) I frigin play electric 7 string for the past 7 years and im ALWAYS wowed at classical guitar songs from the video games i grew up with and introduced me to music.

  • woooow that is to pro for me XDD , anyway im doing the first part of the tabs and my goal is : play it all!! thanx and really nice played

  • Comment removed

  • i saw your tab and it is nice of you to share. I finally found a tab without the chorus included so I can sing it and I noticed you were giving fingering advice to new people. Thanks for being willing to share your talent.

  • @TeamShanimal Well I try to make it a point to offer as much advice and motivation I can. My goal has always been to get people into the classical/fingerstyle guitar.

  • So they stole Radical Dreamers from this guy?!

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • man, what tune do you use? normal?

  • @prefife Yep, standard tuning. Tabs are in the video info.

  • how long did it take you to learn this? also your playing something a bit different than the lead, it's like you mixed the rhythm and solo, which is beyond my abilities lol. I'm currently learning this song, starting with the lead and I have to say you have mastered the 'classical' style of guitar rather well. I have the CC guitar sheet music/tab book so I noticed that you were sort of combining both sections into one.

  • @ChiZ712 That's exactly what I did. I had a copy of the duet version of Radical Dreamers from that book, and I just combined them into a solo version. :)
