I think what makes that movie so interesting is the dynamics. Both actors play completely different people. Castor Troy is the douchebag, psycho-path villain, who lives life with a I don't give a fuck attitude. Meanwhile, Archer is the blue-print good cop, who has feelings, morals and sympathy and also is the blue-print of a great dad. In the movie, both characters change their look, but that doesn't mean Cage still plays Troy and vise-versa. Both actors play their opposite character....

exactly the same way as the other cast member plays theirs. In my opinion, that is what makes this movie separate away from the typical action movie with explosives and gun battles. This movie, which so many action movies lack, has a lot of substance and character development to it, which makes it one of the greatest action movies of all time.

The comments on the guns below are Inaccurate, the guns were plated with REAL 24K Gold, not Ti nitrade. They are Springfield Armory 1911 A1 from their custom shop "distinguished limited" version not mill spec these guns start at $3000 each. The "plates" on the grips are real gold dragons, the eye of the dragon is a ruby. the props were very detailed and expensive for this movie. You would never know that the eye of the dragon was a ruby unless you have had the guns in your hand its very small.

This is one of my all time favorite movies! One of the things I like most about this movie is that all the props in the movie were made of high quality stuff like real gold and silver, none of the resin crap that most props are made from. I had a couple of friends that worked on this movie so I ended up with some of the props, I have the Burgundy and Gold sunglasses, the dual holster, the black and gold belt, and a few other things. Those guns are Springfield armory Milspec 1911 - with custom gold foregrips, skeletonized hammers, beavertail grip safeties, ambidextrous slide stop safeties, target sites, moderately bevelled magazine wells, and V-10 ported slides/barrels. Pretty nice titanium nitrade plates on the grips aswell...

@Orangebike666 Sure would help their sales. Notice the Movie Magic because when the shoot out occurs between Cage and Travolta. It isn't springifeld 1911's cage is using, not been able to get a clear enough movie clip to Id them but they are not 1911 .45's. That double holster rig is indeed bad ass.
