  • Wow, this is very well done. You've got talent

  • this is mint how long did it take?

  • Hm. Making the figures a week, the filming itself was just 1(or 2) weeks, adding the sound and postproduction some weeks more. i guess the whole thing took 1-2 months...

  • Ok it's official i'm favoriteing this!!!

stop motion animation with clay figures

  • HI

that would be cool. the original super8 film was transferred by a photo store to dvd. its a mpg i guess but if i let it run on realplayer or windows media player the progress bar runs very fast to the right and then stays there. crazy. so i can´t encode it or else... do you know what to do? any recommendation for a program that i could use to encode/ edit/ cut the file ????

    thanks in advance

    matt

  • ;-) !!!

  • Great work! I'm really interested in this stuff too I have a couple stop motion animations on my page but they aren't nearly as good and the bionicle one was made in a couple hours out of boredom the other one was done in about a week at school.

How many pictures in total did this take if you can remember?

  • HI

yeah the alien crash is cool i think- nice set ;-)

    and the bionicle one too..

hmm how many pictures? i dont know. the pure animation is roundabout 3 minutes- and with ca 5 pics per second minimum its 900 pictures or more

    greetings

    matt

  • Wow, lol pretty crazy! It's really nice and smooth though I like it a lot lol

  • yeah a little bit ;-)

as a kid i made an animation about the beginning of star wars-a new hope movie with star wars figures in the sand. but i cant get it on youtube although i tried :-(

but i´ll keep on trying :)

    greetings

    matt

  • lol cool if you get it up you should let me know and I'll check it out!

  • hi

we were in the bluebox studio of our university and used a big TV camera on mount and for lighting the big studiolights. framerate is 15 if i can remember correctly.

it took a year i guess including postproduction (sound/fx etc) and we filmed i guess a month. 5 seconds a day ;-)

but it was really fun , yes....

perhaps you already checked the "fake-making-of pix" we made. the 4 human figures are the 4 people who made the movie- (i´m the one in the grey clothes)

    greetings

    matt
