Hm. Making the figures a week, the filming itself was just 1(or 2) weeks, adding the sound and postproduction some weeks more. i guess the whole thing took 1-2 months...
that would be cool. the original super8 film was transferred by a photo store to dvd. its a mpg i guess but if i let it run on realplayer or windows media player the progress bar runs very fast to the right and then stays there. crazy. so i can´t encode it or else... do you know what to do? any recommendation for a program that i could use to encode/ edit/ cut the file ????
Great work! I'm really interested in this stuff too I have a couple stop motion animations on my page but they aren't nearly as good and the bionicle one was made in a couple hours out of boredom the other one was done in about a week at school.
How many pictures in total did this take if you can remember?
as a kid i made an animation about the beginning of star wars-a new hope movie with star wars figures in the sand. but i cant get it on youtube although i tried :-(
we were in the bluebox studio of our university and used a big TV camera on mount and for lighting the big studiolights. framerate is 15 if i can remember correctly.
it took a year i guess including postproduction (sound/fx etc) and we filmed i guess a month. 5 seconds a day ;-)
but it was really fun , yes....
perhaps you already checked the "fake-making-of pix" we made. the 4 human figures are the 4 people who made the movie- (i´m the one in the grey clothes)
Funny ass video, great job too :-P
