I'm sorry.... I can appreciate their beauty and grace, but I've heard snowmobiles and lawn mowers that sounded this good. NOTHING beats a big block Chevy with a radical cam, If you've never stood next to one with open headers, it will rattle your teeth and you can feel it thumping and droning in your chest. These cars are all very nice, and very expensive, but for sound, I love Ferrari V12's - they sound like music, But they for got a few of the most beautiful sounds. Can-am, F1, sportbikes like VFR with Vance & Hines. I am still amazed at the sound of my Rotary powered RX-8 with Borla exhaust - you really have to drive to appreciate. No valves, no timing belts or chains, just 12,000 rpm turbine-like power. Totally different than pistons. You should take one for a test drive

No, no ,no these all sound like angry wasps. Listen to a descent V8 - 1966 - 1973. There is no alternative( a chrysler hemi big block is a good start). A real engine doesn't have to reach 7000 plus rpm to make big power, a well tuned V8 starts at 150 rpm, and sounds awesome all the way up. This lot sound like remote control models.

Flat plane V8's are the way to go. Formula 1 style. Big cross-plane V8's aren't museum dinosaurs either. Keep in mind that the fastest cars in the world use V8's. The ascari a10, koenigsegg, ultima gtr, caparo t1, and most formula 1 cars, use V8's. The ascari a10 uses a cross-plane V8 from a station wagon. 8 cylinders is really all you need for any road application, whether it be hauling freight or warming up a track.

you may be right dude but you forget one thing, WE europeans know how to build good engines, not like your us engines. Lest's compare pretty modern V8 NA engines : Ford Mustang GT 2009 (US) 4,6l V8 = 300 bhp, Audi RS4 2008 (Germany) 4,2l V8 = 420 bhp. I'll give you one other example: Dodge Viper 2008 (US) 8.3l V10 = 506 bhp, BMW M5 (E60) (Germany) 5,0 l V10 = 507 bhp. But look at the Engine displacement Dodge needs 8,3 l and BMW only needs 5,0l,come on dude We are better, it is a fact, sorry ;).

I must admit, it is pretty impressive but it is no longer a NA engine an btw it is only good for drag race you can't put the power on the track.
