  • keith richards also went to this machine..but it went the other way round.....

  • Love Christopher guest, man... Am I wrong in assuming the Machine goes to 11? ;)

  • I love the part where he starts crying HAHAHA :) wait... is it wrong for me to enjoy this scene... A LOT?

  • The machine in this scene reminds me of my current semester.

  • @loke177 Comedy, action, romance, fantasy. It excels at all those things.

  • wtf is going on, I mean what does this machine do????

  • @loke177 - It's been explained before. Count Rugen said The Machine acts like a suction pump, except it sucks years off a person's life force instead of water: when The Machine is on, Westley's life is sucked away from his body through the suction cups and hoses. Say he would've lived to be 90 years old, now with 1 year gone he'll live to be 89, and so on. I hope that answered your question.

  • @srg118 ehhh... is this a comedy? action? or horror movie? I mean from the trailer I thought it was an action/comedy trhiler

  • thank you for not making a parody of this truly wonderful movie....

  • Welcome to University.

  • This scene fucked me up good when I saw it as a child.

  • I wonder what would have happened if he did go up to five or six.

  • @Scoutpower1 yeah, wish they had done a scene on that

  • Whole movie please! Not just mere scenes and clips!!

  • Why did they not put a tube in Wesley's mouth down his throat? They added tubes on his ears, chest, stomach and ankles after all!!

  • This scene and the 2nd time it was used terrified me. I know it's only make believe, these actors played it out so well, especially Cary Elwes who screamed like a banshee!

  • "Instead of sucking water...I'm sucking life" LMAO crazy mofo.

  • Lol. I love it how the bad guys sounds like some sort of therapist or someone doing phone telemarketing.

  • I hated this scene when I was a kid... I would always find some excuse to be out of the room when Westley started screaming because I would just start to cry :( DON'T MAKE FUN OF ME I WAS A SENSITIVE CHILD

  • @WeAreAirborne Nobody would! I'm sure this scared everybody who watched this even a little bit! I know it scared me as well.

  • @WeAreAirborne I'm not a sensitive child, I love this scene!... I mean, I find it exhilirating, not scary. I'm not a psycopath though.

  • What I love so much about this movie is how well adapted it is to the book. Sure, they left out quite abit, but what is in there is like, SPOT ON. Specifically this scene, nearly word-for-word perfect.

  • This just makes me so sad and I saw this movie just last Friday!

  • I remember watching this when I was like 5. I guess I thought the machine was sucking his brain out

    D:

  • I could never take the nipple suction cups seriously.

  • @mowingthefrontlawn - Look again. The suction cups are not actually set on his nipples, they're above set above them on either side of his chest so one suction cup is over his heart. Sorry.

  • @srg118 That's alright; It's tough to tell, anyway.

  • does anyone else find count rogen's voice extremely relaxing?

  • Already the tilte of the video prooves us that's is not goona be a good time for that patient x)

  • Elwes is sobbing because he foresees a career in shitty 3D torture movies...

  • can you girls please shut the hell up with westley being hot? buttercup is nice to but we don 't say that all the damn time so whatch the movie god damn.

  • If they made a cartoon version of this movie they would of put Vegeta on there and Vegeta said it before and he will say it again "A Saiyan get stronger each and everytime you put them in near-death"

And I can say this: Vegeta can cope with torture, He stayed with Frieza all that time during Saiyan and Frieza Saga

  • does anyone else wish they could see Rachel Starr hooked up to this thing?

  • @brenden234 - That'd be different, seeing the first woman hooked up to The Machine. But I don't imagine anyone would go to a Facebook or Twitter page and actually ask Miss Starr if she'd do a scene being tortured by The Machine. I thought you were going to say Buttercup. Westley saves her life several times, he defeats her captors, gets her through the Fire Swamp, and... she rides off with Humperdink thinking he'd actually return him safely to his ship? Ugh.

  • Fetish fuel at its finest.

  • @UrielleAzelebriAY So true.

  • I love this scene. *snickers evilly*

  • I feel like this some days.

  • I shat myself when I saw this as a kid.

  • the duke's phisosophy: I suck at life and life sucks so I'm gonna go suck away peoples lives.

  • The water drives the pistons , and gears.

Then electrodes are sent into his body.

The electrodes , can kill you at 50 =P.

  • yea no....it sucks life out of you....those are "suction cups"

  • There's no electricity. He said it's like a suction pump; instead of sucking water, it sucks away years of life from the person hooked up to The Machine. Kind of like an overgrown vacuum cleaner. In this case, one year's worth of life that Westley would have lived has just been forcibly, and literally, sucked out from him because of The Machine.

Now that Westley's gone, maybe we can get Jon and Kate Gosselin in the Pit of Despair and hooked up to The Machine. Just a suggestion. ;)

  • The annoying fact is sometime ago I figured out a way it could work but for the life of me I can't remember how

  • NOT TO 50!!!

  • @blakegriplingph lol that part was hilarious.

  • @blakegriplingph lol that part was hilarious.

  • @blakegriplingph lol that part was hilarious.

  • Oh my god poor Westley! I love him he's so danm hotttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Count rugen is a b****.

  • You know, I went years and years between the first time I saw this movie and my second viewing, but I never forgot this scene, perhaps because it was so frightening the first time through...

  • for some reason, count rugen cracks me up. i guess it's because he's so cold and calm and thinks that torture is merely a means to advance scientific research. christopher guest did a fantastic job bringing his character to life.

  • count rugen is an effin mo fo freak!

  • Fantastic movie.

  • I had such a crush on him when I first saw this movie when I was like seven (and even now when I watch it he's still pretty darn hot). But I almost cried when this happened, I felt so sorry for him, now that I'm no longer seven, I like this part of the movie...

  • @Madamwolf Sooo glad I'm not the only one....

  • @Madamwolf Cool story, bro! Seriously, i don't care.

  • This part scared me for about 3 years straight but now watching it it's pretty cool.

  • @Wolfman12395 i watch his movie when I was 5, this part made be throw the movie under the bookcase and now I'm 16 and have an urge to watch it again, with out being creeps out by this scene like i was last time.

  • that Albino and my sister are meant for each other

  • i watched part of this movie when i was a kid...me and my sister got to this part and freaked out...it was so terrifying we screamed and turne it off
