  • I wanna see what happens when the come out with the "Hypofloor" :) And a ceiling using this would... certainly set a mood.

  • It was developped by dECOi (Mark Goulthorpe) in 1998 for the Birgmingham Hippodrome.

It was not built because of the client's lack of funds. So far.

(From "Responsive Environments Architecture, Art and Design - Lucy Bullivant - V&A Contemporary)

  • who sells this?

  • Not sure that it's for sale as such but I think it was developed by a company called Decor.

I love the Hyposurface. I need one and many drugs.

  • omg!!! how cool!!

  • they should make a floor. you could try to dodge the shockwave :)

  • it would be cool to see dj's use this at their live shows.

  • rad.

I can see Resound's idea. Already the 3D billboards are flowing past in my mind. We will definitely need self driving cars by then...who the hell is gonna be watching the road?

  • Amazing, but really down to earth simple idea complicated research and simple use man Im not good at explaining

  • when you think about its basicly a realtime pinscreen

  • We love it! This far surpasses modern technology and redefines entertainment.. Pink Floyd would be proud - NY Time Square get ready!

  • i can do that.. in my pants.

  • meh. show me an entire room with that and ill be slightly impressed. id rather see a completely enclosed room with nothing but seamless LCD screens.

  • what about if each sheet in the hyposurface was an lcd screen and it moved in out also.....then that would be ill, right?

  • what if each peace of the hyposurface wall was an lcd screen...that would be the real shit, right?

  • MUTED! What pathetic music. Are they trying to tell me THAT's the future, that stupid whining? That's musical future??? Absurd!

  • if you think recognizing a drum sample invalidates the music, throw away 75% of your music collection. this thing is amazing.

  • where's that building at?

  • Imagine how cool this would be if each plate was covered with colour epaper so you could texture the shapes. You woldn't want OLEDs or something because it'd kind of screw the shadows and highlights from the surface but epaper would rock.

  • vidjilante, what do you mean? Anyone can buy a dot org these days, have have been able to do so for years now. There are no more restrictions on dot net and dot org.

  • How does this company's commercial website possibly qualify as a dot org?

  • neil4ad, I rec'd at least one sample from the Apple Garageband library. Get a Mac and you can easily make that song yo'self, yo. Still no cure for cancer, though.

  • can anyone tell me what the music track is (artist/title) for the this vid?

  • james last
