Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Guys, this ending would have been perfect. It would have awesomely tied up the game. The second one could follow the game's storyline after this, because I would imagine that 47 would be fucked-up and pissed off after this enough so that he'd retire and hide out in that church. I don't know the plot of the next movie but hopefully, it'll be better than the first one. But I liked Hitman a lot.

@sazzrhilee Hardly a love interest. A lot of the times when looking at her he was staring at the tattoo on her face. He related her tattoo to his tat of the barcode. That she, like him, was forced into a life without his choosing, and marked, effectively as property by someone else.

Him helping her out, especially at the end with buying her the property, was sort of his way of ensuring that at least one of them can have a normal life, 'cause he knows he wont.

I stand by my comment because film makers would add such a female to the story in the hope that more females could stand to watch the film, given now the the have a female to reflect themselfs on to, watching the film admiring her beauty and the closeness between her and 47' or just simply the actor playing him.

... also the writers clearly had trouble writing a plot that stood for anything, the script would read as 60 odd pages of blab.

So Nika was just a easy way out.

It seemed to me that he felt a sort of kinship with her because they were both 'marked' and essentially expendable tools of large organisations that could turn on them in the blink of an eye.

The only female person 47 has contact with is Diana from 'The Agency' and she does not get killed either. I found it always great that there is no romance story involved in the Hitman series, cause 47 is still 47 and no poor James Bond imitation. 47 'retires' after the events of the first part; goes in an abbey but is forced to grab his guns once more, when the abbey gets attacked...who 'n why is the story of part 2.

I really like the games and the movie was cool too, but it was a bit confusing and i thought if they were raised to be assassins from day one, they should have had more "bourne" scenes...the fighting, high-tech stuff.....it was a bit dry. at least thats what i think. hope the next one will be a bit better. but all in all hitman rules....especially "blood money" :P cheers

Hitman in the series has been a ruthless person that works a lone ... the love scene part of the movie kinda took time away from the real hitman.

If you want a love scene with hitman, have him hook up with call girls or have a private life way outside the killing.

The movie rather was a poor concept of what hitman was ... the actor was not cold enough to play the part of hitman!

The producers hand is obvious in the script writing. The romance plot was obviously added under pressure from them. While the camera techniques show that the director played the games at least a little bit, there is generally a complete disregard for the basic character elements 47.
