Why do so many gamers not realise ALL RPG's since the year dot have had combat in them, but does that mean every isometric RPG is a Diablo clone? @SiliconBong Ha ha! 0.00000001% of the game and also an 11 year old game, back when an RPG was called an RPG and an Action-Adventure an Action-Adventure. There is no doubt in my mind, pre 2000, that games like Jade Empire and Mass Effect would be called 'Action Adventures', not RPG's! Back in the day Deus EX was just called an RPG, which it is. Today it was be called an RPG - shooter or Action-RPG just because it had guns! Today few know what a genre is and so call everything the same!

HardWarUK, regards DeusEx I used the sword quite a lot; it was a good light source & it didn't consume any power cells. Anyway . . . it doesn't really matter if a game is labelled an FPS or an RPG, whatever gets you to hand over your money is all that matters to the business of personel computer entertainment.

@udoslask there is a Boiling Point 2 called White Gold, but it's only in Russian at the moment with little hope of an English version. Some people are trying to do an english language mod for it but I suppose that will just be the text.

Game doesnt look amazing, it plays bad, AI is weak, etc. But idea, story and a lot of new stuff in this game make it very interesting and apeeling. It is like FPS/RPG. I recomend everyone to try it, who likes RPGs and FPS.

its designed on unreal 2 angine graphs/ai, the game is very fun and violent nice areas to explore too, dont worry ai doesnt run around like stupid unreal bots, its just fun the bad thing is that the story is small but you can run around instead buy or steal stuff kill people got to hospital or police hq dress up ass a cop say crazy things or use a cat as a silencer and pee on people and make them puke burn up everything, simmilar with alan wake!

It's worth a torrent, I had the misfortune of buying it on its release day when it was $30/$40.

The load times were close to 10 minutes long before the v1337 patch.

You should get the Apocalypse Now expansion too as it ups the ante on the gore and adds new weapons and things to kill.

It's a fun stress reliever, turn on the cheats and have a ball.

Wow that tells me that you never even played STALKER.

There ARE shops, npcs, and items.

You can trade things you find on outings for better gear, anti-radiation stuff, health packs, and other stuff.

STALKER, imo, is way better than Boiling Point and Oblivion.

Oblivion is a dumbed down shallow RPG that doesn't even give you the feeling of actually being in the game world.

Oblivion gates are such a chore as every gate is identical.

NPCs are dull and uninteresting.
