@TwinSnakes89 Exactly, take your whinebaby comments elsewhere, it is not relevant to a high-level match between two japanese players in this game, go cry to your mommy.
Arakune can be so rape with curse. I am ok, I just need to learn more mixup. I see people dominating once they have curse, but I feel like I am just stumbling around hoping someone falls for one of the moves I know how to loop off of T_T
@MelficeSephiroth Jin was dangerously close to getting fucked in the final round and dodged a ton of things that would have ended him instantly. If Arakune had thrown out another cloud near the end I bet Jin would have lost.
If you watch closely at Arakume during 0:52 through 0:58, it almost looks like there are a couple of missing frame from the animation. I just bought BlazBlue:CS two days ago noticed this when playing as Jin and again later when playing with Arakume. Being new to the series, I didn't know whether my disc is faulty, whether my PS3 is having problems reading discs properlly or whether this is normal. can anyone please shed some light into this matter?
His "Equals O" move, right? Thanks a lot for clearing that up.
On a side note, I'm getting kind of stressed out at the fact that I am pretty much getting my butt handed to me in the 9th and 10th matches in Arcade Mode. While I am pretty much execute 90 percent of all characters' special moves, I simply cannot get the hang of the combos I see in many forums (and I'm attempting those without cancels :|). Do you have any advice for me?
@Kagelicious Hit training mode, and practice. And I suggest getting proper human experience, then CPU will be a joke. Except when it comes to Super Turbo.
i win quite a lot online. even when i fight people who are 25-30 levels above me. if i dont win, i still get really close. thats because ive used the training mode quite a bit. and the reason i might not win all the time is because i dont ever stick to one character, i play almost all of them. and level doesnt mean shit really. understanding the games mechanics is more important (duh)
There is reference to this combo in the game by Arakune during story mode. Although I believe he says 116 not 115 for the hits on it. Its during the Kokonoe thingy if you get his bad ending.
There was a 7 hit combo at the beginning of the match which was completely arbitrary to the actual 9.8k combo. The combo immediately following it was the kick-ass combo in question.
ok all thow he miss up i cant say that i would not be surped if some ara thew his self at me in the midle of a move cures me 100 persent and did a 65 hit combo leding in a 2 hit combo in to sopire i would naver jomp agem
OMG, kune gets to keep the curse going after the combo. That's sick. Although the only characters that would have survived those 2 combos are probably Bang, Tager, and Hakumen.
It's still threatening. If the opponent can't see through the mixup, they have a 25% of blocking correctly. So it's relatively easy to land the 9.8k combo off of that full curse setup from the throw counter.
Situational or not thats pretty ridiculous for that amount of damage to be coming out like that. And here I thought he got nerfed.....lol. So what if he has curse multiple times to get the curse. It is easier now to curse the majority of the cast since it has no hitbox and anything from his spit bugs or his "shit stick" attack on block contribute curse which imo is pretty stupid. I agree with curse not having a hit box but I dont agree with his spit bugs adding to curse on block.
Glad you undertand. In CT Ara had guaranteed damage, and was still very strong without curse (Dives, one hit to curse, cloud curses on block). Here he has pathetic damage out of curses, you cannot dive, and you have to work hard to get that curse.
It does when a player can force the situation at almost any given time. While it is situational thats a bit much and then you are pron to a recurse at that. I would rather him have to curse me twice to get rid of me rather than a few tap hits then curse game over for most of the cast.
Some proper skank stuff. I love it!!! To be honest it doesn't take a major amount of skill to use Arakune but still........ Air grab curses too???? :( I'd rather die than use Arakune :)
The timing for the j.D to hit after the air grab is tight, as well as negative edging the bugs. Also in this dive loop you have to account for the correct spacing so both dives connect. Before you go about judging a character you should play as them.
I apologise for my out burst. Guessing though you wouldn't do the same. This character has raped me and so many others i've watched it just not funny. Arakune lover :) By the way I did know that it's just the annoying people I play make this look easy. Apologies once again if i offended you.
It's not about me being offended, it's more about understanding what goes into playing the character. In CT you can classify me as those 'annoying' people since I was very dominant with Arakune, but I still carry it on to CS. CS Arakune pre-curse is very difficult to play, while in curse he's a bit easier than CT but not by much, then you go back into the pre-curse state which feels like playin an F tier character. In CS just put pressure on Ara he can't do shit.
Doesn't really matter. You can get 100% curse from an airthrow unless they burst, and then from that point you can start a loop from either a high or low.
So it's just a point of mixing them up until they get caught. Just one poke is needed because once they get hit by a bug that's pretty much a free combo.
Also... it looks up the starter move was from a crossup. A really fast crossup at that. Quite legit. Props to the player who created the loop.
That's my point it gives 100% curse and it was amazing. But my point is that this combo is considerd a kill combo because of the starting hit. That hit reverse probates's so that many people have seen it do you think you can catch someone with again. Th cross-up was nice but it's only that hit that is made for this combo.
Exactly besides it's a high hit and if start's from anyting else it's much lower. This combo is pretty much like a one- hit wonder once you see it you know what to watch out for.
Yeah I know what you mean. The Tao loop is BS a gurantee 4-5k damage off just a hit. Off the counter 6C 6-7k. Bang super combos barely reduce in a combo. Plus he can instanly apply pressure very easily. Litchi well is well-rounded but still a pain.
It's kinda better? The top two of the bottom 3 aren't nearly as bad off as they were in the last game. ... With the exception of Rachel. Options-wise, she's better off than CT Tager. Match ups though, she's just as bad.
i have the game i can never find out how to make the 3 clouds how do imake em

I don't use Arakune very much, so I'm not entirely sure but was the Equal 0 to time the second 5D? Or was there another reason for it?
MrRoboto11t6 2 years ago
The Equal Zero was to lessen the recovery time of 5D. This was one of his main tools in CT to combo into curse. Now there's not much of a use for it.

The fact that he lost and still pulled a kill combo is amazing. Means you don't even have to be particularly good to do it.

It's amazing but that combo won't actually catch anyone now that we seen it. It start's high so this combo won't be used that much at all.

The air grab gives him full curse. The kill combo comes from the overhead hit to combo.

Doesn't really matter. You can get 100% curse from an airthrow unless they burst, and then from that point you can start a loop from either a high or low.
