@SmexyAsianGirls And he's also a douchebag... SBO, when JWong / Ricky fought against him, he refused to even just shake their hands or even say a word to them. Just played, trashed them, and moved on.
@SmexyAsianGirls Nah, this was like 6 years ago. I don't know that they played since. If you watch the match, you can tell Kuroda's fucking with them too... Random dash up taunts, just sits and crouches the last half of the last round with Wong. Supposedly he even took a phone call during the match. No clue.
@djmixah I understand what you mean. In my opnion, it doesn't even seem like the Asian players even have any fun at the game. They treat it as serious as if they lost, they'd die or something. And watching Kuroda play made me want to learn how to play Q :D He's like one of the hardest chars to master in the game I think. Kuroda inspiring us all :D
@spinseffing Just a wildguess here but I think that he's a superhero. Sadly his only super power is foresight and extremely good reaction, no lasers! Hahaha.
@4znBoiix i play accent core the most out any fighting game, but i love me some 3rd strike every now and then. as a matter of fact, i'll be getting online edition for my 360 and possibly ps3 ^^
@came2getbusy Haha, I just thought it was funny that you used the ASW's games notations. I'm getting into GGXXAC presently because its scene over here is starting to revive. I LOVE Order-Sol, he's just too awesome. But yeah, 3rd Strike is a pretty cool game. It's the best SF in my opinion and I'll be getting the PS3 release of it.
I love seeing open-minded people. You play ASW games AND capcom games which is pretty sick imo. I'm getting tired of constant "X sucks because I play Y".
@4znBoiix i'm moving to where you live to play AC. we had a fight club in nyc on the 18th but that was presented by CAPCOM so yeah.. i main Sol >.> definately an above average sol player though. 3rd strike IS the best street fighter evar ^^ i hate seeing closed minded people.
@ApharmdStriker Makoto is not fine, she is fucking man-ish. But seriously, if you have ever played anyone who can whore the 100% stun combo, you'd know she can be broken as hell.
Hmmm i agree 100% stun combo is bad, but still not broken. Its not that easy to pull off, and honestly speaking whichever character you are playing, you should just make a special counter for urien, makoto, and chun. I main akuma, and i found those characters extremely annoying, i still do at times, but i know how to counter them and trust me when you parry or read your opponent, Shits all good xD You could counter any character. But its not as easy as it sounds of course xD
@nightmarebooster Dumb. It is broken. Yes, the combo is hard to pull off, but if you have ever played someone who mains makoto that can pull off that combo 90+% of the time it will give you a brain aneurysm. The whole concept of "reading" your opponent goes out the door when you have to "read" them correctly about 5 times per match and they only have to guess right once.
the parry system allows players to turn defense to attack in an instant.some characters in sf3rd strike needs to be weakened. like makoto needs her control grab removed. she has too many offensive options with the control grab.
@keeyk118b What in the hell are you talking about? Without that grab, she's bottom tier! Even with it, she's only mid/upper. The karakusa is super important for her game.
@keeyk118b You are neglecting to mention that it turns turtling players into complete nubs. Makoto's grab is extremely hard to work in when it is a fast-paced match, it is very high risk if not used at absolutely the best times, did I mention the recovery frames on a wiff?
It's not a bad dudley player...give the man some props....he put up a good fight against Kuroda. I am expecting kuroda to be a phenomenal player trust me I've played against him before and didn't do so well, so to see this dudley do pretty well against him is deserving of some praise.
I just can't stop watching this video. 2:08 to 2:15... he parries a corkscrew blow, and then catches Dudley with not one, but TWO crossup resets. It blew my fucking mind.
2:02-2:18 WTF?! I don't think the Dudley player had any better idea than I did on what Kuroda was doing there~ =\ which is insane! What a Dudley slayer.
@someguyhunter I wasn't, you didn't seem to get my context. I was saying that the other player didn't seem to know what was going on, just as I, a person who barely plays this game at all at that moment. In other words, I'm trying to say that Kuroda made him look like a newb. Do I have to explain everything that I say these days or what?
@malditaSeaCubico I can do this move sometimes, however, only when the opponent is cornered. I'm not sure if there's a trick to it but it seems you must be very fast when executing the 3'rd in-air hurricane kick. All of the hurricane kicks are HK. You must do a regular jump strait up in the air and immediately perform the hurricane kick with HK to make the combo land. As for the non-cornered version...
@byaxiom For non corner it's pretty much the same but you do a towards jump, as for the trick to the combo, i discovered that the 1st hit and the last hit of the ground HK Hurricane kick must be the hits that connect (this can be achieved by doing the ground Hurricane kick late and you will know too by the way they bounce) otherwise the juggle limit will be maxed (u can tell by the 3hit combo caption that appears well before your opponent hits the ground). But this is just my Theory though.
@malditaSeaCubico 1st do HK hurricane kick (1hit) and when u land do another HK hurricane Kick (but delay it a bit, don't do it too early, 2hits) then hold up forward (u don't have to do a super jump cancle) and as soon as akuma recovers do a hurricane kick (you'll already be jumping cause you're hold up forward). I can pull the combo off 60% of the time anywhere, Trust me it's easier to do on chars like Makoto, Oro, Dudley, Urien but pretty damn hard to do on shotos. Well i hope that helped.
Watching Kuroda Vs. (SkillerPlayer2) makes me feel like I'm blind or something. I KNOW amazing stuff is goin' down. I just can't tell what, or why. I'm not even playing and I feel like I'm getting mind gamed.
@sniperclown SF4 is a nice game, and I hope Super SF4 comes out even better. But it is by far not better than 3S (It just amazes me how the best Japanese players prefer picking lower tiered characters than just sticking to chun, it's a testament to how balanced it can be)
you obviously don't pay much attention to this game outside of forums.
The player above who's video you just watched, he does a complete F.U. to the tier list and cleanly beat's Justin Wong's Chun li. This is one of the few games where your reflexes are going to win you the match, but most people are lazy and just pick chun li :P
@AzuroMasurao sorry, but I don't accept lazyiness as an excuse like you do. I never would've have won a tournament if I kept that same mentality of "poor me, I'm not japanese so I can't develop my reflexes even though I have a perfectly fine and working training mode to use"
@shindean Wtf are you even talking about...? I never said anything about laziness. Look at SBO's results the past few years, the results of US majors, etc. The game's not that balanced.
And yes, Japan is far ahead of the US in terms of 3S. This isn't disputable, this has been proven a number of times. They simply are a lot better.
Again, tier lists only matter at the highest level of play, a level US is not close to.

i am a g1, and even there its so easy to come out with a win without using an utra OR a super. the funny thing is. i use the same tatics on third strike. popularity is like hip hop to me, the best was in the past. plus looking at sales means nothing to me.

i am a g1, and even there its so easy to come out with a win without using an utra OR a super. the funny thing is. i use the same tatics on third strike. popularity is like hip hop to me, the best was in the past. plus looking at sales means nothing to me.
sf4 is still a good game, but it's still to noob friendly.... kinda like tekken 6.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
im g1 as well, if u are so good man why dont go to tournaments? earn some cash, or maybe register to next year evo, maybe we see u beat daigo :D /dreamoff
VYP3R22 2 years ago
you would try to do the same as well, am i right? and i can't since i joined the army till my 3 years are done.
but trust me i would love to face him, not beat him. i don't expect myself to win, just to play a pro.
RageOfLeoEX 2 years ago
altho im in G1 i dont consider myself that good, still learning, on what are u playing? xbox ps3 or pc?
VYP3R22 2 years ago
ps3 mostly on my brother's profile, buti'm also on xbox just in case.

@RageOfLeoEX Come play at a high level. It's true they dumbed down SF4 but you still have all the advanced techniques such as option select, kara throwing, etc.
ohanarchy117 2 years ago
i know that... but i miss the PARRY! why did they take it out?
i'm going to go cry now.....
RageOfLeoEX 2 years ago
They didn't take it out, it was that they didn't put it in. It's not like they started with 3s
boothesquirrel 2 years ago

Someone experienced enough explain to me what happens on 2:09.
I see a red parry but the first hit form DU's SA isn't blocked by GO. I know this move has 5 hit frames and he only parries 4, but stil something doesnt makes sense to me...
OVERD0Zis 2 years ago
i think the 1st hit had to hit GO or otherwise how can you have red parries? then, he just did 3 more blue parries.
however, the crazy thing is that he did it so damn quickly.
mysticnamja 2 years ago
he blocked first hit and red parry 2nd, followed by 3 blue parries. he did it really fast. it was a brilliant parry.
