1:12 - Beast Wars Neo, the second Beast Wars anime series (1999). That's a clip of the show's Maximal leader, Big Convoy, who turns into a mammoth, putting his Matrix into his big gun and turning it into the Matrix Buster.

1:46 - Transformers Victory, the third TF anime (1989). That's the show's Autobot leader, Star Saber, from the very beginning of the first episode, where he strikes down a nasty gang of Decepticon goons to the tune of a "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" soundalike riff.

Dude, let's not jump to conclusions. I think Animated is the best Transformers show since Beast Wars, smartly written and respectful towards the history of the franchise without being slavishly reverent. The only reason there isn't more in there is ... well, there just wasn't the room. It's only a two-minute version of the theme. Maybe if I do a longer one down the line I'll be able to get more Animated in there. (Plus there'll be a lot more Animated footage to choose from!)
