  • One of the "Big Dogs" from mainland China who brought the pure art to Taiwan after the communist took control.

  • I haven't been able to locate a full video of Hsiung performing his forms.I do have several videos of my former Sifu, Mr. Hen-ping Chiang (who studied from Hsiung) playing the form, plus Hsiung's QiGong, Jian form and San Shou forms. One of these days I mass produce them.....

  • Beautiful

  • Maybe someone could post the whole form or recommend links to where we might see it ... chessman71? usaveteran?

  • Wow, he is the real thing. You can see the steel wrapped in cotton.

  • FUNNY I'M WATCHING AGAIN AND SEE that in the movement/posture we call embracing tiger he does exactly what Dr. Chang passed down.

in most that part is actaully a diagonal brush knee . can anyone comment on that . chessman, usavteran,???? thx.

  • The final movement(s) from the 3 sections of Hsiung's form were titled, "Embrace Tiger, Return to Mountain." I wouldn't go on to say it was similar to "brush knee" in the fact that both arms were in the position similar to carrying a large ball down thru the center of your body. The final movement were crossed hands in front then relaxed at the sides. It's kind of difficult to see all this from the video shown. 'Brush knee' form, as taught by Chiang, was with single arm/hand brushing, left/right

  • @usaveteran Can you recommend where we might see the whole form?

  • This is a great clip of Hsiung Yang-ho. My former Sifu, Mr. Hen-ping Chiang studied from Hsiung and then brought his style here to America. I had the opportunity to study with Chiang for over 18 years. Thanks for the video!

  • what movie is the music from?

  • STILL seems like another variation of the modified cheng fu form. why so can u tell me pleased a bit confused!

  • You probably wouldn't say that if you could see the whole form. This is just a snip of it. But naturally, there will be similarities. They both are Yang style taiji, afterall.
