If I don't see this movie I'll explode. It looks like a good movie - especially as it has Michael J. Fox in it, I loved him in Back To The Future - I want to see what it's like.

Judging by most of your comments I'd say this movie is highly recommended and I hope this is my first horror film that I see.

Thank God it's available now - although it was a damn shame I was too young to see it when it first came out. Most of the movies I like and want to see were around or before the time I was born.

Absolutely love this horror/comedy film... Good actors.....Michael J Fox is the best...Peter Jackson is a legend who also made the classic horror Braindead - another horror/comedy.

In the frighteners i love the ghosts especially the old guy and the black guy, the crazy detective is the funniest (also acts in the animator) Its got a good story, scary bits and funny - well balanced film.

The Frighteners is one of the best movies of the 90's. Michael J. Fox was brilliant as Frank Bannister.

You should definitely watch it. I'd say its one of his best movies along with Back To The Future and Teen Wolf. :) It's a pity he got Parkinsons and had to stop making movies.

FYI: It's based on a real case: In the 1960s in Texas, a mental guy called Charles Whitman climbed up in a University tower with a rifle and shot lots of people before police were able to kill him. In the movie, the evil ghost is based on him.
