I luv this breed i look to find a breeder willing to sell a pair at a reason price can anyone tell me who they know breeding these or any good quality registered neapolitan matiffs.Also in any Neapolitan mastiff book or mastiff book period the neapolitan was always at an excess of 100+lbs but for the most part they where always slow cumbersome some had alot of wrinkles some did not.

tuve una mastin napolitana por 4 años y doy fe que son querendones amorosos ademas puedes confiar en ellos, la recibi ya viejita y siempre se porto bien... ojo... hay que cuidarles el peso. mi marita fue lo que la mato. y para peor fue mi responsabilidad..... la tengo sepultada en el jardin de mi casa,, mis hijas cuando juegan saltan ese lugar.. pues saben que ella esta ahi. y estara siempre en nuestros corazones

But if i look to the mastino's from around 1920 they look far more healthy and able to do a active job.

Seems like the modern type is just about looks no function ne more, (but i dont have ne experience with this breed) so maybe someone can give me some info on how the modern Mastino is so diffrent from the ones in the old days..
