I personally recommend this camera, as with proper lighting you can get some great results. Very important is to get correct card into it, rated 10 and above or your video will look like shit, no jokes. it can be quite good for recording but if you want to have good audio also, get separate recording device and sync it after. I have h4n handy recorder which is prety much the best thing for recording sound, that I could get my hands on. ( price is high though, but it have XLR Imput )

this seems remarkably similar to the JVC picsio gc-wp10 which is also 1080p hd and 3m waterproof. Do you recommend i get either of them? or do you know of a better competitor?

I also wanted to ask if the JVC picsio gc-wp10 has an audio in jack and a tripod stand.

the HD video quality is much better. More details and much more stable. It doesn't have the jello shaky problem the old version had. It's no more a problem to shoot in HD.

Can I ask if this camera has any like charging problems? I had the previous version and I had to throw it away probably a year later because it literally would not charge. The battery replacement didn't work either.

Hi Dave, great review. I have the Zx3 and was curious of the changes in the new model. The shock proofing and the user interface are nice improvments, From your Vlogs made with this camera I see that the video quality is a little better too, mainly because the 'wobble' issue seems less of a problem. Nice one! ...Try it underwater, it great fun!!
