Prokofiev's Alexander Nevsky

For the record, this is part of Sergei Prokofiev's cantata based on his own film score to Sergei Eisenstein's 1938 film of the same title. This is the first half of the fifth movement, The Battle on the Ice.

If you listen closely, you'll hear that this music has played a major influence on virtually every symphonic film composer since. In fact, Danny Elfman, a Prokofiev fan, borrowed heavily from this score in particular.

couple of cuties and a great piece by prokofiev,,very hawt~! i think i have this cd,,its cd album released just b4 Y2K. apparently ur supposed to listen to it while the world goes down in flames,,which it didnt obviously. i still have the cd but it's all scratched up. im glad i can hear this track again,.without the skipping. haha.
