I think I know when I'm being shot by a bot because my whole screen zooms in on the shooter right when I die.... I've spoken with other ppl, here and there about it and I haven't found anyone else experiencing this... maybe its a Mac thing, I don't know. But its hinkey.

@lsdeedee The cure of that is doing more spec - and less game play. If you do suspect or if you do see a real (cheater) that cheater is completely exploiting game or using cheats, record demo and send e-mail to support of QuakeLive.

* I thought about getting a bot at first when I really sucked but that basically defeats the whole purpose of the game. It sucks when you're in a match and you know someone is using one. The other day, someone shot me through a wall and I saw the wall sort of flash real quick when he did it where I myself could see through it for like a millisecond. I wish they could develop better anti-cheat technology for it because it's really fun when it's fair.

@GTvlogOFFICIAL who is using cheat in multiplayer games, I said that this kind of person is a coward. It sucks "better" when some pro guy with a lot of experience is using cheat exploits on QL.

@GUNterTheHunTER I am old quaker, playing since 1997, since Quake2 and I know who is cheating, who is not cheating. Problem of Quake is that his source-engine is already open-source, so every fuck with basic C knowledge can develop exploits for QL.

That's main reason why cheaters exists. If Quake was closed-source, then story would be different. But QL is modified on ID-TECH3 engine which is under GPL terms.

no need to pimp a cheater video with fancy effects. KISS principle. Dont honor cheaters with wasting your time on them.

And yes, cheaters are a problem. But not the obvious ones like in this video.

i guess there are many more players out there using at least a wallhack, which are hard to spot for newbies. Even humanized aimbots are hard to detect too.

So you wont find many of the 'clever cheaters' banned unless they make some mistakes like Jaz did.

Hope some anticheat comes to QL soonish.

@nordag Well point of this video is that I am not favoring anyway, I am just showing to people that QL has problems with cheaters too.

Jaz was on ESL? - Is that one pro which is accused for cheating and banned from ESL?

Well lastly I suspect on few players which are playing FFA on EU server(s). And I am active player there.

But I have cure for that, I am "specin" and recording for potential cheaters. Then I am usually sending e-mail to support/abuse team of QL.
