I too take issue with the Boy-eats-Nietzsche-Pops-and-be­comes-Hitler imagery. Nietzsche has taken a bad rap on the nazi question too long for such a joke to sit comfortably. But could the message be more subtle? Could the creators be saying "Beware of having your Nietzsche spoon-fed to you" ? Remember that a pop may also be a small explosion -- as in an exploded myth.

It's funny because Nietzsche loathed his sister's antisemitism, antisemitism in general, the prevailing German culture and nationalism. So you cannot argue that he wouldn't have been against such a movement. Furthermore I think (not considering the credits) that the film is made by a Dutchman: whole that what is suppoded to be German sounds like Dutch and they have all a rather queer humor - see Housewitz.
