  • SIEG !

  • step 1. eat cereals

    step 2. perform a coup.

    step 3. beware europe.

    I AM ON IT!!!

  • lolz

  • im autistic so i will argue over people mispronouncing a name not native to their own language instead of the bounty of wonderful ideas which sprung from the man whose name is being mispronounced.

  • Iss it pronounced {["Neat-She"]}??

  • Iss it pronouned "Neat-She"?

  • If I pronounce Nietzsche correctly can I hang out with the cool guys too?

  • Nietzsche BDSM practicing furrfag

  • "Nichy" epic fucking fail

  • The cereal that makes you UBER!

  • /me facepalms You're doing it wrong!

  • wat.

  • am i the only one who find this funny....

  • It's a shit of interpretation of nietzsche's philosophy. A big shit, in fact.

  • @afnm85 It's supposed to be. It's funny.

  • @afnm85 Are you honestly calling this an interpretation of Nietzsche's philosophy?

  • shit in it's purest form.

  • Comment removed

  • Nietzsche hated everything the Nazi's stood for.

  • If the doors of perception were cleansed

everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.

For man has closed himself up till he sees

all things thro narrow chinks of his cavern.

  • What am I supposed to think about this?

I'm just sick and tired of this stupid swastica put on Nietzsche. Even nazis recognized his own thought is not compatible with the nazi ideology.

  • Coming soon: Maimonides Flakes - All the nutritional supplements, ten times the murderous potential.

  • I too take issue with the Boy-eats-Nietzsche-Pops-and-becomes-Hitler imagery. Nietzsche has taken a bad rap on the nazi question too long for such a joke to sit comfortably. But could the message be more subtle? Could the creators be saying "Beware of having your Nietzsche spoon-fed to you" ? Remember that a pop may also be a small explosion -- as in an exploded myth.

  • this reminds me of ut3

  • Nietzsche

  • It's funny because Nietzsche loathed his sister's antisemitism, antisemitism in general, the prevailing German culture and nationalism. So you cannot argue that he wouldn't have been against such a movement. Even more so, when he remained stateless, and literally fled Germany to escape the asphyxiating cultural environment of the time.

  • Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet because I have a filter on my browser, but this is actually a short film from "Liquid Television", an MTV program from the late eighties/early nineties.

  • You're almost right, but not quite. MTV did run an edited version of it on "Liquid Television," but they did not create it. A man by the name of Ben Hillman did. You can see the full version here: youtube . com / watch?v=BbS6kAMP3Bs

  • It's funny because Nietzsche was vehemently anti-Nazi. The only connection was when he died before finishing his last book and his Nazi sister edited it to her own ends and released it posthumously.

  • Yep, it's just like the Christians who murder in the name of Jesus, something I would imagine Jesus himself would be aghast at were he still around to see it.

"It is the anti-semetic screamers who should be expelled from Germany" - People and Fatherlands.

  • wow... i think i want some Nietzsche Pops!!!

  • u cant blame neitzche for what hitler did.he was saying what alot of germans were feeling at the time.thats the way i figure it.

  • Yeah, he was expressing exactly what all the Germans of his day were feeling. That's why he was so incredibly famous during his own day... what the hell are you talking about?

  • Famous during his own day? Not at all!

  • Wow, you're stupid.

  • Wow, you too.

  • I see why I called you stupid now. You thought I was implying that Nietzsche was famous during his own day when I was clearly being sarcastic. That's why I called you stupid. Whether you're actually dumb or whether you just had a moment of weakness, I don't know. Either way, you need to take Nietzsche's advice and read more carefully next time.

  • You're almost too candid. We need more people like you on the internet. Thanks, I'll be more careful next time.

  • This isn't a german commercial you dope. I love how all the stormfront types gravitate to something like this... little do they know that it was created by a small nyc/boston design firm... who's head designer (and creator of this animated short) is wait for it.... black.

  • Wow, you're stupid.

  • LOL

  • I love Nietzsche Pops. It's the best way to shake off every morning's nihilism after I wake up.

  • Yeah i figuered this was american when they mispronounced "nietzsche"... and misunderstood Nietzsche...*sigh*

  • You understand Nietzschean philosophy. Congratulations! This is a "joke."

    You have no "life."

  • "why" "are" you "putting" everything "in" "brackets"? arnt jokes supposed to be funny? "is" that just "me"?

  • Those are not brackets, they're quotation marks. Jokes are only funny if you don't have your head in your ass. What would Nietzsche think about your pouncing on a joke in order to demonstrate your intellect?

  • There is a big commercial ugly yellow-press-publication called "BILD" which is as bizzzzzzar and foolish as you. Nietzsche saw what will come - but he never wanted a war like Hitler wanted it. Nietzsche has nothing to do with nationalism, antisemitism, controlling the mass ... You got it all wrong ... OK, it is funny - but I must have said that this is not a carricature of the reality - it is a caracature of your prejudices...

  • I want to buy a box!

  • Bullshit!!!!

  • The least they could do is pronounce "Nietzsche" correctly.

  • @ichigodisaster The least Nietzsche could have done was spelled his own name right.

  • he he he, that tickled my fancy. Very silly, very broad and inaccurate assessment of Nietzsche, but still amusing.

  • Great to find this again! Wasn't it on an early QuickTime developer's disc? Just went looking for it in my private collection, no luck, then used the Google! What a treat! Hilarious! A real nostalgia trip.

  • WTF?!?!?!

    this is bullshit!!!

  • This is to Nietzsche what Birth of a Nation is to the Civil War...

  • wow, that was horrable

  • this is what you get!

  • Pure garbage. The misrepresentation of a troubled genius that most people who criticize haven't even read much less understood.

  • its the misrepresenters that did the evil deeds ,thus Niietszche gets linked to them and people like Leopold and Loeb

  • Where is the video on "Moses pops"? Or, "Abraham pops"? It must be mentioned that Nazism is not the only tribalistic movement that has ever occurred.

  • if anything it makes fun of totalitarian stuck up supremacist philosophies be it Nietzschie or Lenin etc.

  • this video is from either the 80's or the early 90's. it's part of a collection of animations similar to the mind's eye videos, except this particular collection featured other kinds of animation beyond just computer generated. google for nietzsche pops and you will discover all.

  • Do a youtube search for Ricky Gervais and Nietzsche. A much better video than this crap.

  • thats sad so many people were involved because you'd think that a collective effort would guarantee at LEAST a better quality of outcome ..and this just plain blows arsehole

  • This is from liquid telivision that used to run on MTV, not a commercial.

  • What surprises me is that so many people were involved in making that video, and not one of them knew a thing about Nietzsche or his thought. Not to mention it wasn't funny in the slightest.

    Shizer.

  • wow, you all sound very intelligent, but dude, come on, it's a joke.

  • this is what happened to the asshole hitler when he read zaratustra.

the spoons are the zaratustra books

hitler gave to his soldiers to read.

hitler undertunstood wrongly the message of zara-nietzsche.

  • (it's suppose to be funny :)

  • It is not -_- it is offensive

  • Knows the producer of this video anything about Nietzsche's work and ideas? Nietzsche hated to be german. He loved the italian and polish way of life! Hitler may used the thoughts of Nietzsche for his theories, but he also used Mozart to show the "german superiority".

  • this sucks...Nietzsche was not nazi

  • SOME of his ideas inspired them(the Nazis)"if you cant be truths greatest aly at least be its greatest enemy"and other dark Will to Power type stuff

  • so you do know nietzsche lived way before the nazis? and that nietzsche hated anti-semetism, and hated nationalism?

  • yes but what concerns me is his effect, misused and all.

  • jesus has had a far more terrible effect, for that matter

  • ex being mideival Catholic church, what Spain did to south America..Right?

  • yuppers

  • afaik his sister Elizabeth betrayed him and misrepresented his ideas or something

  • Id heard about that.

  • I've come across that quote before, but I don't remember it being in the Will To Power (Zarathustra, it sounds like? Maybe?).

Could you tell me (if you remember) where I can find that quote in his works? Thanks!

  • What the hell? Yeah I don't get it. Maybe the video is depicting Hitler's miss interpretation of Nietzsche.

  • the guy who made this film has no idea about nietzsche

  • Nietzsche hated both socialism and the heard. Why would he desire to lead such a mass?

  • Nietzsche was no nazi.

  • AidanMclaren, you do not understand Nietzsche.Try reading about the will to power more closely. The play on words can confuse some, but he was no proto-fascist.

The will to power is more about self overcoming rather than controlling people.Friedrich was not political. He even says that he wants people to learn from him,but to challenge his ideas...not to follow him.The blame should not be on Nietzsche. His ideas didn't cause tyranny.Tyranny was around long before him.

  • well said cultureslum, yea, re-read the will to power with walter kaufmans commentary Aidan

  • I remember seeing this on Liquid Television years ago.

  • Nietzsche pops was created by Ben Hillman. He is an American and he is funny as hell.

  • Nietzsche rules... period!.

  • this is off either liquid television, or ren and stimpy.. cant remember which. either way, its meant to be entertaining... and it is

  • Ok, to the blatently ignorant here. This is a warning to Nietzsche's idea of will to power and that is causes tyranny.

  • haha, I'm not going to insult you, I'm just going to pity you because you have no idea what you are talking about.

  • help me, I really didn0t understand teh will to power, it's a will to creat right?

  • Ehhh more or less, yep.

  • No, it doesn't cause tyranny.

  • Adolf Schickelgruber never existed. Actually it was the previous surname of Hitlers ancetors, but Adolf was never called so. Furthermore I think (not considering the credits) that the film is made by a Dutchman: whole that what is suppoded to be German sounds like Dutch and they have all a rather queer humor - see Housewitz.

  • It must have been a Dutchman! That what shall be German is rather dutch and the humor... quite close to "Housewitz".

  • You're quite right.

  • "Who ever made this movie is no german (wrong pronunciation and wrong words) and has a very terrible kind of humour!" and whoever wrote that, doesnt sound the best at english. well just the "terrible kind of humour part".. cuz we really dont talk like that.

  • he's british. british people talk like that.

  • Check the credits for the list of names and you'll see some of the most haneous names in history. The final line in the credits reads:

Any similarities between characters in this film and Persons living or 55 million dead is purley coincidental.

    Read up on Nietzsche.

  • I don't think the film is supposed to be funny. It's supposed to be a warning.

  • shouldn't it be nietzs-chah, not nietzs-chee? oh well

  • wft?

  • Who ever made this movie is no german (wrong pronunciation and wrong words) and has a very terrible kind of humour!

  • Überbrekfast indeed!
