XD Hallow Bastion/Halloweentown, is from the Tim Burton's movie. A Disney movie. Kingdom Hearts used Disney movies for the games.

So it was based more on Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas.

Oh, so you're the one to whom this level belongs. So many people have uploaded videos of it I didn't know who created it. It's my favourite out of all the ones I've seen. I actually wanted to make a scary level myself, but I'm rethinking the idea now...

Don't worry about the name thing. It is just two English words put together to make a name. Just like in Kingdom Hearts 2, Riku's blade is called the Soul Eater, which just so happens to be the name of a rune in Suikoden. It's all coincidence.
