  • did he just say "crap? i didnt know christians could says that

  • @clarinetist91 I just wanted to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus. He loves you and He is not condemning you for anything. This lady below is taking scripture out of context and using in unlawfully. Religion has her blinded and she can't see the magnitude of God's grace. I am speaking from the heart here when I say you have the true revelation of the love of God. I truly believe Tim Hawkins is a man of God and he is making a big difference in people's lives one laugh at a time. Laughter

  • @jbain0205 Thank you so much, that means a lot to me! Your comment truly made my day brighter. I actually just read a post this morning about different ways to worship... "Don't confuse your preferences with righteousness. The way you worship doesn't make you more or less righteous. Just do it!" It came from Chonda Pierce, another very funny Christian whom I admire and look up to. Everyone is different, and has different ways of doing things. Worshiping being one of them! :)

  • @clarinetist91 You're welcome! So true. Worship is motivated by love through a relationship with Him! It's all about Jesus. Be blessed.

  • Funny :)

  • Lol! Happens to me every time I'm praying in a small group.

  • @clarinetist91 How is blending filthy secular radio songs and MTV garbage into parodies a form of spreading the Gospel? Is this God's commission to the church? Hmm? There's fine line between the Solomon's anointing and the perverse lukewarm trash I've seen Tim Hawkins cavort. 1 JOHN 2:16 "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." Tim needs to cover up, the flesh is showing.

  • @LindenbaumMusikLtd Like I said, everyone's entitled to their opinion, I have mine, you have yours, they're obviously on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to this subject. I don't want my account to be deleted, so I'm peacefully stepping out of this debate.

  • @clarinetist91 That's fine. You opted to "leave it at that" on the last comment. In the book of Daniel we hear of the music played for idols which Nebuchadnezzar threatened the 3 Hebrew men to bow down to. That same idol Baal-like music is around today, along with court jesters...except they're in the church. Here's yet another idol of the post-modernist emergent church showing the fruit he bears. I find Bible quoting hardly an "opinion" either. With God there's a wrong or right. No in-between.

  • @LindenbaumMusikLtd Ok, with that being said, what about verses like Proverbs 17:22? "A merry heart does good, like medicine. But a broken spirit fills the bones." Or Psalm 126:2- "Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing." Aren't we supposed to rejoice in the Lord, and isn't laughter an outlet of that emotion? As for Tim's parodies, they're exactly that PARODIES. He's not singing the actual secular songs. It's clean comedy. Nobody's perfect.

  • @clarinetist91 Seems like simple scripture just bypasses the emergent church. This is filthy, there are types of Holy music for the church. There's false worship still performed today and hosted by many Catholic and charismatic groups. You're trying to use the Bible like a dictionary and play "match key-words." That's a deceptive way of misinterpreting scripture. Because neither the God of David or Solomon would accept this filth in his house. This is nightclub garbage.

  • @LindenbaumMusikLtd YOU can use Bible verses to get YOUR point across, but as soon as I do I'm playing "match keywords"? Okay, doesn't the Bible also say to love each other as Christ loves us and not judge as well? I'm pretty sure by calling Tim's material "nightclub garbage" that's passing a judgement on everyone who enjoys it and doesn't find it offensive of Satan-like. I went to church this morning and I had FUN and laughed and still felt the presence of the Holy Spirit.

  • @clarinetist91You don't know the difference between judgement of motives and condemnation. Have you not read Matthew 7:16-20? I'm sorry but Christ is God and God didn't punish Elijah for mocking Ahab's Baal idols, but that's a juxtaposition of what we have here. We have open blasphemy of the "new-age emergent church movement." -->

  • @clarinetist91 2 CORINTHIANS 11:4 "For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him." That's exactly what the new age and their idols are presenting her. Another Gospel(perverting the Bible),another spirit(evident from your rebuttal statement), and the lukewarm new-age churches are preaching another Jesus. Not funny, truth.

  • @LindenbaumMusikLtd 2 Timothy 2:23-24, I leave you with that. God bless you.

  • @clarinetist91 2 Timothy 2:16

"But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness." Seems like you haven't left it at all and are still trying to justify worldly lukewarm behavior. Keep in mind the Christ gave the same words to the Apostle Paul in the previous verse I mentioned. Yet, you're trying to find contradiction in the Word of God by using the Bible in a weapon form. I'm sorry, but God doesn't contradict Himself in the Bible. He compromises.

  • @clarinetist91 I studied religions, because I am a called Evangelist and discerned your mega-church here...Zion, as well. Statements of Faith on the webpage included "water baptism as the means of Salvation." What are they, catholics? Augustine of Hippo started water Baptisms. Likewise, if you read your Bible; once Christ went to the Cross-John's Baptism was no longer of affect and repentance was from the Holy Spirit. So you also render catholic & remnants of the law in Zion church

  • @LindenbaumMusikLtd A) I don't go to that church, I was just there for the event that night. B) Whether you think so or not, I'm not going to Hell for enjoying Christian comedy and neither is anybody else. I'm a Christian, I'm saved and I've devoted my life to serving the Lord. C) Churches change, they modernize, just like everything else around us. Everybody is different, we all learn and interpret things differently. Sorry if it's not the way YOU think we should.

  • @clarinetist91 The change of the apostate age of the church, representing the 7-church ages and 7-churches prophesied of in Revelation regards the church today as the last as the previous six ages have already come to pass. However, the final church age is said to be when churches accept apostasy by inviting Satan into their dwelling and yes, modernizing or using secular practices blended with God's...which God condemns multiple times in the Bible. Revelation 3:15-17 is real.

  • @LindenbaumMusikLtd So if you're confident about Salvation and being a part of apostasy like I was before I accepted Christ, then you're just making excuses to blaspheme God or to treat Christ as a passive figure while you go about daily routines of secular nature. That's the American way: put self as #1, keep God as that little passive angel on my shoulder and praise Him on a Sunday and then go about worldly business the rest of the week when God demands 100% of our lives.

  • @LindenbaumMusikLtd Christ IS number one in my life, whether you choose to believe so or not. I'm sorry that I don't live in a church, but I make SURE to take time out everyday and spend time studying The Word. As soon as I get up in the morning, in the afternoon and before I go to bed. I'm also a student so I can't devote every waking moment of my life to reading and studying the Bible. If it makes any difference to you, I'm studying to become a Christian counselor.

  • @clarinetist91 Zion church ought to read:REVELATION 3:15-17 "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:"That's a prophetic statement of the condition of the modern church by God.

  • @clarinetist91 "Nobody's perfect." Well, then why would you invite Philistines into a house of God if you had not proper Biblical discernment? For entertainment? Laughter? What, is the Bible not enough that we have to have performers coming to the church? I think not. No one is perfect, but the Sanctified in Christ know better. Are the sheep to have fellowship with the wolves? Am I missing something because my Bible condemns it. The Bible is greater than someone's philosophies.

  • Psalm 69 "because zeal for Your house has consumed me,"

...for My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations. (Isaiah 56)

all jokes are out of place in a true church

The New Testament sets the example:

"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;"

    2Timothy4 ~ GBU

  • @jadegarden7 Are you trying to say that a Christian comedian telling jokes in a church is a sin? Not trying to be confrontational, just trying to fully understand your point.

  • @clarinetist91 Answer me this clarinetist91: Is mockery or jesting appropriate in a house of worship or church? The lukewarm behavior of the emergent post-modernist church is disgusting. Matthew 12:36 "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment." Isn't mockery or jesting a form of satire? So, then, that would make it a no more than a new-age ploy of satan to entertain rather than lead souls to Christ.

  • @LindenbaumMusikLtd What about Ecclesiastes 3:4? "A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;" When then, would the "time to laugh" be? Isn't it better to be laughing with other Christians at clean comedy, then it would be to go to a comedy club and listen to raunchy, dirty comedy? As long as we're not making fun of Jesus himself, laughter/comedy in church is acceptable. We've both stated our opinions, and I'll leave it at that.

  • i have a tshirt with all these hand motions on it!!!!! i wear it EVERYWHERE!!!!

  • At least he's honest :P

  • Note to self: Don't drink water while watching Tim Hawkins....

  • I went to my grandparents church and they all prayed out loud, awkward....lol My grandparents are part of a group called the "Holiness Movement", they wear skirts, wear their hair in buns, and do not wear any jewelry or makeup. In my church we pray together but not out loud haha.
