What a great man! For decades I didn't give him much thought. Now I'm born again - realizing the special wit and good music of Mitch Miller.

Like so many, I had a lot of fun singing along with Mitch before I was old enough to attend school. Imagine my suprise when 9 years ago I began passing him on the street on my way to work. He moved pretty fast untill a couple years ago but was still to be seen sunning himself outside his apartment. I shook his hand and referred to him as a legend. He said "That and 50 cents will get you on the subway".

I am 44 yrs old and I love Mitch Miller, part of the music I grew up on, my parents had alot of his records and I always loved his singing, his orchestra... reminds me of my grandparents, my parents, and listening to records with them, what "bittersweet" memories... aw...
