i had the same experience... but i didnt kill my mom!.. hell no... i love her... so much... but i have a lot of hatred with my dad cause i think his the reason why i turned gay.. and i was abused when i was 6 yrs. old and my mom just find out when i was 12!! and now they are seperated and now im 20! and living my own life and Gay.. but im proud to be one... i have no regrets that i became im enjoying my gay life a lot!.... but i will never abused someone...

I feel sorry for all the characters in the film but especially for the son. The father brainwashed the son into thinking having those type of sexual relations are okay. But the sad fact is, situations like these actually happen; hopefully not to this degree tho.

I like the film. The twist of the story. Not too graphic and yet it's effective in conveying the idea of what's going on. Decent editing and cinematography. Each of the characters are convincing, they didn't seemed like actors. I didn't see the dog coming--really the shock value of the story. It's a well-made short-film. I commend the film maker. Bravo!

This film is extremely unrepresentative of what it usually means to be gay. I've never known anyone gay or straight who would have wanted to have sex with their dad. The film does not show us how or why this happened. Ironically, the mother's last words are "Who needs men?" Whereupon we see that the family no longer needs a woman. Disturbing material very effectively depicted. Sick & evil or perversely funny--no matter how valid or sincere the labels--the film is artistically quite strong.

The fact that you don’t know anyone who told you that they wanted to have sex with their family members, is not the same as not knowing anyone who wished for the same. Besides, sexuality and sexual attraction and tension has many levels.

Only humanity itself is more divers than the LGBT global community. There’s no other “minority” even remotely similar. I actually enjoyed this movie very much ! It's different and quite interesting. I don't think I have ever seen a movie with this kind of story before. I don't know if it's love or just sex but as long as they keep it for themselves I think it's OK.

No one is disputing the morality(?) of murder by the way.

And as to the relationship between the father and son, you should realise it has other aspects not just sexual.

I was just pointing out that neither the moral nor the mystified aspect of the storyline is truly important.

They dont even consider that sexuality is just like life, both pretty and deadly.

Where does it show that the young man is the initiator? We clearly see him run off to bed when his father arrives home. The father tries the bedroom door, only to discover it is locked! If this young man was the initiator, he would have left the door open and waited for his father.

He does clearly enjoy the attention he is getting from his father.

but of course its not a new one. people kill their father and brother out of jealousy, from the antic era.

his mother perceived his son as a victim, and in turn attacks his father, and the son reacts by defending his father.

this should have been a major film, with less emphasis on the mystical aspect, and more on desire, anger and fear.

incestuous? technically this is not an incest. as the incest taboo was created in relationship with birth, and genetic disorders that arise in children born from these relationships(to be correct, only the probability is higher). and as they cant have children, its not. the movie shows that its not the father the initiator, but the young man.

I don't know why you say the movie shows that the son is the initiator. In fact, the film (deliberately) does not show us who initiated the sex. Psychologically, if not legally, the sex between them appears to be mutually consensual.

I wasn't referring to a religious construct of incest, but only to common parlance, the way the word is commonly used in everyday speech in a mostly secular society. Prescriptive grammarians may say that the word is being misused. I would agree, but common language is what it is. And to your point, it's true that the secular society is influenced by religious tenets. I too prefer the biological denotation.

Concepts such as incest, are obviously encoded with religious “values”, even when you use it in an everyday discussion, especially then. The content of the concept it’s still based on superstitious fear and ignorance. Besides, the concept of secularism does not mean a society changes its way of using words, it only means that it tries and miserably fails to separate superstition from the law.

@eldadevata Perhaps Hungary, where you are, is less secular & more religious than the U.S., where I am? I think the U.S. is overall less secular & more religious than most of Western Europe. Of course, these sorts of generalizations are always debatable. One of the usual dictionary definitions of "incestuous" is "improperly intimate". That's a matter of social norms, not biology. Most people might say that the father & son are improperly (distastefully) intimate. That view has consequences.

@alwaysuseless Well, according to the national statistic, the average age attending church has gone up from 50 to 70. So no, it’s actually one of the least religious country. A lucky inheritance from our communist era. But that does not mean that religiously fuelled superstition does not interfere with the law making. Using words such as “improper” to define any consensual intimate relationship, is not better than using the word “sodomy” or “sin” do define a homosexual relationship.
