i am a disabled vet i need help with the army and VA i talked to my congressmens people they said they would help i dont know yet i have jest done it. but this is crap vets are killing them self and other people because we are getting screwed around and treated like shit... I AM A DOG I KNOW I AM A DOG THE ARMY OWNS ME AND THEY WILL KILL ME IF THEY WANT THEY OWN ME I HAVE NO SAY IN THE MATTER. THERE A LOT OF ARMY VETS THAY KILL THEM SELF AND THAT IS BECAUSE YOU CAN ONLY BEAT A DOG SO MANY TIMES!

I hate the VA for what they've done to me and how I've been treated but, if I heard it right, Pearlman published a book on assisted suicide? And then created a pamphlet on "suicide prevention"? Why don't I just ask Kesha how to stay sober while I'm at it.

tthe veteran system does not help veterans its is there own buracy of red tape. what cnn needs to tell our government: if the government admits losing a veteran records, they need to approve the VA claim. what there doing is intentally losing veteran records, fires , oops we misplaced them both by the VA and NPRC. The dishonesty and unmoral justice done to veterans because the government thinks its funney losing yout medical records

Privatize the Veterans Administration.

Give vets the freedom to choose their own healthcare and invest their retirement in the stock market. Let the free-market sort out their fate. Pensions and VA health benefits is nothing more than socialism.

HOW do you think the GAY community would have reacted if you had a directive to give everyone that walks throght the door for HIV testing/treatment this booklet? They say EXACTLY what we Vets are - that you're TRYING to make us go away so YOU don't have to spend any money on us. That's REALLY what it's all about to our goverment, how much THEY can keep for THEMSELVES while throwing out JUST ENOUGH CRUMBS to prevent a REVOLUTION.

There is no reason to kill oneself, when the VA is killing us slowly with denials of claims, mistreatment of Veterans of All Eras. This is BS to have such a think on the net when Veterans are committing suicide at alerting rates not because they want to but they are depressed because of denial and the slow motion of approving claims, c&p's, housing and emergency service! We don't need no help dying, trust me, we are!

@QueenBonita55 Another way the VA tries to kill: When I got out of the Marines I began seeking some counciling concerning my experience, but nay. The VA, in Augusta, GA, at least, doesnt offer the proven psychoanalysis. They would simply prefer to drop a prescription of potentially deadly pills in your hand. Just like for my back problems they dont offer any chiropractic services, only narcotic pain killers.

This country is a BUSINESS, and our military is a MACHINE. We VETERANS are viewed by them as nothing more than WORN OUT PARTS they'd like to throw out.

Remember the VA and AGENT ORANGE? I SAW its effects, killing people while the VA was DENYING it. Some things never change. Some things WILL, but it may take time. Protect your RIGHT to BEAR ARMS. There's a REASON some would like to remove that, and it has NOTHING to do with street crime.
