I failed this the first on the PS2 version. but the cloud card fills the gauge up much faster than normal attack cards.

You also get to have EXP points in this battle. Anyway, for those confused about the GBA version, there was a time limit, but it wasn't visible and the objective was to fill up the gauge. It took loads longer then this. <_<
