  • that was funny.

  • what was the driver tinking off? why did not he turn when he se the wall? and how can the car do big damage at like 13km/h? :S

  • are you stoned? disables or 6 yrs old? or what?

  • disabled*

  • what's the white smoke LOL

  • I believe that is steam/hot air being released as the airbag deploys.

  • its actually powder that's used to stop the airbag from sticking together as it has to work perfectly after being inside your steering wheel for example folded up for years possibly before being deployed.

  • It got 4 stars because of a design flaw, which apparently has been fixed, but i did read it off of a quite dubious site..so im not 100% sure on the authenticity of the information,

  • wow how strongs a chassis how much does that volvo xc 90 way because they are heavy cars

  • This is one of the safest cars in the world. This does not perform perfectly (34/37) like 36 or 37 point cars (eg:new Renault Laguna/Nissan Qashqai) but these cars are designed to do perfectly in this exact test. On the road the XC90 will be safer because Volvo examine real world crashes and do not design cars for perfect results in independant crash tests plus the XC90 has the advantage of it's size.

  • hehehe, boron steel :-) very strong

  • Audi suv (called Q7) didn't do so well overall in the crash tests AT FIRST. Then they managed to get a five star crash test rating (highest possible). Also, be careful with Volkswagen and Audi, they don't have the best reliability, however they are much better then American brands and Korean. I'd say go for the XC90 unless you already made a choice..

  • The udi Q7 only got 4 stars in its latest test

  • I knew that it got 4 start but then Audi made it safer so it achieved five stars..

  • that was a quick respond lol....am which new car assesment program gave it 5 stars?

  • how did audi make it safer

  • i don't know i have been waiting 2 months for the answer and he haven't replied as yet soooo only time would tell on how audi made the car better

  • Wow im sorry..i didnt get an email saying you guys responded to my comment..sorry for the amazingly long wait. Anyways, only EuroNCAP gave the q7 four stars, and audi says it was because of a design flaw..(thats all i know) which they apparently fixed. In north america the q7 got five stars.

  • yeh ok but how did audi achieved 5 star lol both got same damage

  • i thin ill sell my xc90 and buy an chery amulet, loads safer than this car :P kidding of course

  • hahaha

  • Good Man :D

  • It is Swedish you fool... the germans make BMW's VW's Audi, Porsche, Mercedes, Opel......... not volvo, it is deffo swedish, get ur facts right, if u dont believe me google it.

  • 5 stars in euroncap chrashtest xD

  • Hard to see my dreamcar getting wrecked for testing purposes!^^

  • The result of a car being designed and produced in the US...crap.

  • Crap? It's a Volvo. It did very well.

  • I work for Volvo and this car is designed and produced in Sweden. noob

  • Dude, get your facts straight. SWEDEN.

How can it be crap? O.o?

No offense, but you have no clue of what you are talking about, do you?

  • It seems as though the truck could have absorbed more of the collision. The frame must be real beafy.

  • Yea, your right. But still, you have to admit, the crimple zone did rather well. I'd give it an 8.5/10

  • yeah, but then that will spell doom for the driver for speed above 40.
