I watched your video driving this car through the mountains and talking about it... LOVE this car. You got a website where I can look at more details about it? It's very similar to what Ive been trying to build my 92 to be for a few years now, and honestly Im mostly there but there are a lot of small things on yours I'd like to do. I love the intake, where'd you find the 4 inch tubing for your spectre carb hat? How is it "mounted"?
@Etnricer I had just put a new Holley aluminum carb on and had the float bowls adjusted slightly low and on long sweeping corners like that it would starve for a few seconds. By the end of the day I had it dialed but ran out of batteries on the camera!
@TheChrisExtreme I did it with a older 350 4 bolt long block. Not hard at all. i even converted it from 700r4 auto to the world class 5 speed for more fun.
1. get a shop to set up your tank for carb. it thats what you wana run.
2. vacume secondary distributor will be needed.
3. make sure you have a hanes or similar book on third gen camaros.
4 Do a electric fan set up with toggle switch..third gens are botton feeders when it comes to cooling engine and intake so the 350 will need to breath.
@TheChrisExtreme You could but modern technology is so much better. An iron headed l98 (factory for the 350 IROCs and 91-92 Z28s) has better heads than those crappy old school double humps the old camaro had. Remember they used "gross flywheel hp" back then, not SAE net. Modern stuff (85+) is WAAAAY better than that old outdated crap.
@josh666675 Is your car automatic or manual? You can make the manual 5.0 models run pretty dang good, or just drop a 5.7 crate motor down in your car.
@357FACEOFF 3" pipe to a Flowmaster 50 series. I have another video on my page that really shows off that great sound. It was one of the best upgrades to the car for sure!
@cbr900rr919 I went with the tubular A arms but left the stock K member...for this level of performance I would spend the money on something else...I bought better Koni adjustable struts.
@autoedit i assumed it was, i usually never mistake the throaty sound of flowmasters but just to make sure hah... i think magnaflow and borla systems are too "generic" sounding i guess you could say, flowmasters have the "trebly" type of roar, not a low rumble, which i love.

Looks SO SICK! LOVE IT! What pedals did you use? Third gen? or forth? Did you use the stock Master slave and power slave or did you upgrade those?
1faschicken 3 months ago
@1faschicken I used 4th gen pedals from the same wrecked car I got the T56 trans from. Best upgrade to the car but more work than I thought!!!
