while i have mixed feelings about ellusionist's business model, the answer to your question is simple. You can't do fans, ribbons, lifts, etc with a dirty or old deck. But there is one huge downside of your "vintage series", compared to the real ones: While the real ones will handle like new ones, and even have the air-cushion finish, yours will not do and have so. XCM for example will not be to easy with your cards :D

I love your videos so much. Ellusionist needs to learn a little bit about quality. I mean, they've got business smarts down, they're freaking rolling in the dough. However, they put all that money into card clips and dog tags and making new "artsy" decks that are designed (it seems) to make laypeople think you're working with trick decks.

And most of their tricks are either like, really not so great gimmicks or stuff you can find out of books from the library.

I think it's because there's 2 type of regular bicycle deck backs; the Canadian one which is the same front and back. Then the American which is the card back for the deck back. :D

Oh I forgot to mention that the Canadian decks have different fronts. It doesn't say rider back ( like the American bicycle decks) so the ace is a bit bigger . The swirly thing at the bottom corners are no longer attached to the golden border, but spaced out more. Also it says both playing cards in English and in French. :D
