I have an 02 mustang gt that i believehas a bad starter. When I turn the key I hear a loud whining and my car wont start at all. What could it be?Any info will be helpful you guys
Briiliant! - THANK YOU - I'm kinda on a budget at the moment and you have helped me understand what might be wrong with my BMW starter - I'm going to have a go at fixing it tomorrow - Thanks again - Rob, Cornwall, England.
Thanks for posting, I've learned a lot and now am pretty sure my starter needs to be replaced as it has a dead spot, as you call it, some times. Thanks again for the education. Patrick from the Netherlands.

Great video. Thanks for the explanation. I'm getting what you're describing at 4:06min. I wonder if pushing the 63 Austin Healey into the garage has got the flywheel so that its teeth aren't aligned with the starter teeth? maybe pressure washing the engine dried it up? The sound its making sounds like a high speed drill stripping a screw.
i love the end of that video makes me laugh!

how many kW does an average starter have? I am planning to put an electric motor on my bike and a motor starter is easily found at a car dump
