Actually the game is pretty good. It's somewhat similar to Fable where you try to reunite the country. The upgrading is phenomenal and the attacks are pretty decent and epic. Great story, it also includes moral choices which affect the story line. Worth buying.

AMAZING game, maybe the best of its kind and time but sadly, its short :/ and the repetition sucks, I enjoyed it playing it once with Katarina but I cant bare playing it all over with another character, even though I enjoyed it a lot. Dunno if it was worth the 60E cause it seriously was amazing but short..

@kotsujin Play Dungeon Siege 2 first. Its really cheap nowadays, and so not much of a loss if you dont like it. This is gonna be 40-ish quid like portal, so try DS2 to be sure you actually like it. Its a hack and slash (no jumping, click to move, etc) so try the second one before being sure you want this.

@MrTheguywithalife All PCs are backwards compatible... a PC cant be too new, but It can be too old. I have a Vista PC and a 7 PC, both run DS2 and Half Life 1.
Also, as much as I love X-box... it killed RPGs. Any decent RP-ish games like Dragon Age have crap sequels because they were designed for a console and then ported across. Hence the lack of armour choice for companions, (or lack of any real armor choice) in DA2.
Get DS2, it WILL work, otherwise your PC is crap. Not too new... crap. :P

The whole game of DA2 spent in Kirkwall, or the area around it with a short sequence in the deep roads. Your team wears the same outfit across 10 years. Every single building is used over and over, every cave/dungeon etc is the same model. Fenris' mansion & Bartrand's one.
EA rushed DA2 out and cut corners, because cash means more than customer enjoyment.
In DA1 your choices might not have changed the final game much. but it felt like they did. In DA2 no matter what you do, the story doesn't change. You can only change: which team members survive/stay, and if you fight the Arishok. There's only one ending. If you side with the mages, Orsino turns into a blobby corpse-thing and then meredith gets possessed. Side with the templars? the same happens. The only thing that changes is Orsino's speech.
@TheRealBarnez you see the thing is, DA1 was more like balders gate, with the whole "saving throw" poop. however, im a fast paced, M.E. style player, along with many other gamers. you can like your dungeons and dragons and stuff, but im kinda with the majority, i want to pause as little as possible, and i want my character to talk. i do feel for you man. the games of old are being replaced by call of duty and stupid games like that. id still play DA1 over COD if that makes you feel better=)
The one thing that made DA2 WORSE than DA1 was that every dungeon, every cave system, every slaver or qunari or apostate base... was identical.

Reason 1: EA skimped on the design. They wanted the money, fast.
Reason 2: Its a console port. So they used one single model for each type of area to save space... or so they claim. Dead Space 2 has 4x as many areas...and none of them repeat, even on X-Box.

@Telapicus That doesn't necessarily mean that Square Enix is making the game, just the marketing and possibly producing. Both 'Just Cause 2' and 'Kane and Lynch 2' had Square Enix tied to them, so no need to worry. They aren't the ones making it.

@hitlersmaul DS2 is not that similar to DS1... but has a grate story line! :D especially in the end, the twist in the story is just unexpected... and awsome ^^

Any on else on the fence about square joining in on this franchise, I mean back in the day they where great, but really square on a hack and slash game play. I am not trying to be narrow minded, I just don't want to see dungeon siege falling to piece.

@Telapicus That doesn't necessarily mean that Square Enix is making the game, just the marketing and possibly producing. Both 'Just Cause 2' and 'Kane and Lynch 2' had Square Enix tied to them, so no need to worry. They aren't the ones making it.
