    I made a 35mm adapter from the jetsetmodels design, you can see it on my videos if you'd like.

    is the same camera...or are they different?

  • They're the same camera. The 'J' is the Japanese unit and the 'U' is the USA unit. Both record ar 1080i/60 (NTSC)

    The 'E' (Europe) and 'P' (Pacific) units are 1080i/50 (PAL).

  • Do the minolta lenses have noticeable breathing? I can't tell from the videos. it's probably due to the youtube compression. for example, if you did a fast rack focus (like in "24"), will it be noticeable? anyways, I like your videos. keep up the good work. I love my HV20. I want to find out how you made a DOF adapter for it. Thanks

  • Yes, originally I shot this with wrong white balance setting. Then I liked it and did more color grading.
