it goes under when i open my eyes then smudges. plus, i have to put it thicker because it can't be seen when i open my eyes, they keep going under. arggghh!, it's hard to have a monolid. also, i'm always mistaken to be raising my brow on them and look at them and give a sullen glance.. anyway, it makes me different, but makes me look stupid when i'm with a straight face..it makes me look dumb when i have no reaction. haha

@carly0525 Hi, yes its so not fair, i have done my research on this and found out that actually there are many others with this problem. Some of them, actually do come out of it by using double eyelid tapes, and after they use it long enough they become permanent double eyelids. While others just wake up one day and found out their monolids became double eyelids and they remain that way! (: Im trying out the tapes now and wear them to sleep on the monolid. Hope this was helpful! :D

The thin line you did was just nice and really made your eyes look less like those old chinese movies where the women had horrendous make up that made their eyes look scary. what about if you have really oily skin? when i was a liner junkie a few years ago, i used to come home looking like a panda :( i still haven't found me that perfect product that does the job.

my skin is not SUPER oily, but i have oily lids.. and i have that same problem too.. i usually try to line my eyes, then put on eyeshadow, then line my eyes again.

oh and i have been using mac's waterproof black pencil eyeliner and it has been great with staying on my oily lids.. :)

@xCHibiiEverlastingx My skin is super oily as well! My trick for this is to apply powder my eyelids (just a bit, too much will ruin the makeup) BEFORE I put any makeup on them.

As for eyeliner, I've been trying so many products in every price range before switching to Maybelline Gel Eyeliner. Not too pricey and totally awesome. A great substitute is L'oreal Gel Eyeliner.

the new maybelline gel eyeliner is great, or the dior crayon eyeliner works too. you can try that.... and i usuallu day some powder on my lids by applying. it kinda helps.

It's so hard to put on a eyeliner for monolids, well at least for me it is. I can't just close my eyes and put it on a straight line, I have to lift the lid up a bit so that I can draw the eyeliner right above the eyelashes -_-; if anyone gets what i mean. *sigh* and not to mention that it smudges!

Use medium/dark brown eyeliner. It makes your eye appear bigger than when you use black eyeliner,which intensifies it.

Don't use light/medium brown as after a few hours it may appear reddish =/

putting black eyeshadow on ur liquid eyeliner helps it to stay there a bit and it keeps the oils from ur eye going onto ur lid(why some peoples' eyeshadow creases) but without black eyeshadow the liquid eyeliner is really good at staying on unless u purposely take it off.

I have double eyelids but then when i put on my liner and wait for it to dry, after a few hours of blinking it smudges.

im not asian or anything but u should try aplying primer to the lid and crease before u apply the eyeliner and let the primer dry it dosent smudge as much i had sort of the same problem

i also do winged eyeliner. my method involves putting on some eye cream so that the eyeshadow i use will apply evenly. Then i use a slanted brush (i like the one from the body shop) to apply black eyeshadow. the eye cream is so that the shadow will apply evenly. then i take a q-tip, dip it into my eye makeup remover, and drag it to create the desired shape. i think shadow is easier than liquid liner to apply and touch up, and looks a little less harsh. and if it gets wet, blot (don't wipe).

try using a waterproof eyeliner maybe? :) i know what you mean! First time I tried this it looked great and then went super smudgy, haha! Also I use a primer (Urban decay primer potion) and it helps it last longer
