Dear Anna Netrebko: There is a saying in many countries worldwide that reads:
"The remedy (medicine) is worse than the disease." Thou Anna, you have a disease (people who attack you) and the remedy (medicine) that you are using is not the most advisable, and until today confirms this reality. Not going to happen ANNA N. is fulfilled the saying, that the remedy is worse than the disease.

Traviata - Ms. Netrebko displayed an ample power, coloratura bravura with a marvelous tone Having recently heard Natalie Dessay sing Sempre Libera at the Met Gala, one was impressed by the legato nature of Netrebko's portray in contrast to Dessay's intentional staccato, fragmented phrasing interpretation. Having also seen photos of Fleming in her current Violetta at the ROH, one can only marvel at Netrebko's resilience, endurance and commitment to the bel canto opera.

Great interpretation, beautifull voice. wonderfull orchestra. Her voice has a very unique warm timbre, "dark gold on red velvet", something that is really rare. No ugly metallic overtones on high notes as in many other sopranos. Oneguin65

Callas was overestimated - exactly like Karajan. Here more the image becomes important than the actual skill - true to the motto: The Callas is so famous, consequently so it must be also brilliant and beyond any doubt.
Only a handful "YT-Callas-freaks" believe her voice was something special, ..... it's a cheap witticism!
She's forgotten like every singers of the past. What remind at Callas was her stage presence and the fact, that she was a Mezzo!!
I know, she's a Mezzo with horrible high notes. I hope you know her voice was metallic, shrill and very boring in the long run and she never strike the hihg notes!!!
I must turn down the volume or I must vomit.
Callas had No further dynamics, No depth, No variety of tones, Poor diction!
Not an outstanding performance and totally bad voice production. She sounds like a random Egyptian singer because of the way she acts and looks.
Elisabetta... what's that? You want my deary Renee?
Today, Anna is the Nr. 1 of opera and has the nicest voice but Renee is the best singer. I have see her live in "Rosenkavalier" with Damrau and Koch. Wunderful!!!
Quite honestly....it's amusing that you think that FlyingElephant20 and I are the same person. You're the only person here who's creating multiple accounts to bitch around at Youtube. Pathetic, really. And neither am I fat, nor am I a singer. OR envious of Trebs. Now Renee Fleming....that is a woman whose voice I'd want!
Anna Moffo's Violetta videos are still better than Netrebko. Netrebko's voice doesn't sound the same when she was younger, that's a start of her vocal loss.
I have seen her perform the entire roll, and nobody can touch her Violetta for except Teresa Stratas. I cried the entire second half. Nobody noticed, because they were transfixed by Netrebko. I am a singer, working very hard to make something of my own voice, and I do not generally lavish complements.

Faust075 had lost his eyes - if ever there was so good looking diva since JARMILA NOVOTNA that was good looking enough to hit film world ---Anna is yet to make that mark is she will not be already too late at her age.
She's so beautiful!

Striker
the problem is, you have NO NOTION and nobody can talk with you about opera. We can't help you because we can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
But you reach the point of no return and, it's really true, you're the lowest of the low, believe me!
Your idiocy disgraces every Callas fan.
So ELISABETTA writes:
STRIKER shut the hell up and speak for yourself. And please spare us your disgusting language! Either be polite .....or shut up.
