The egyptians, as anthropologists have concluded weren't black, they may have been darker than the asians, that is, the people living in asia minor, but they weren't sub-saharan africans. I always see African-American scholars trying to claim them as being part of their heritage. While I agree with some of what the video says I think the association with egypt is inaccurate, but hey if I'm glad to see you guys aspiring towards classical civilization.
BM want "Whore" to be ommitted from our vocabulary but the Bible has it 37 times describing a lewd womans behavior! Whether it's sang, rapped, written or otherwise portrayed she is still a wHOre in God's sight!
Don't call a woman who isn't a whore a whore,ok? Don't defend her sins ok? Don't let her legitimize her proffession ok prof Griff?
I once heard Bruce Allen (a big manager in the music industry) say that he asked Much Music (Canada's music station) why black music videos had so much sexual content even though white artists' videos would be banned for similar content. The station manager (Denise Donlan I think??) replied that "It's their culture". In other words, they have lower expectations of black artists. I think that's a pretty telling fact that something's wrong.
So I think it's great that people are taking big companies to task for the images they reinforce. This is not only good for black people, but good for white people and others, who need to know that there's more to black people than the tv show Cops or the latest ass-grinding music.
I'm going to be totally honest here and tell you all that I grew up scared of black people. There were no black people where I was from, so all I knew was what I saw on tv and heard in music. I never met any black people until I was an adult and moved from home, when I discovered that they they're regular people.
Osokoni has a point. Who controls what's played and not played on commercial radio? Who benefits the most monetarily from gansta rap? The degradating rap lyrics are a major contributor to the social ills plaguing the black community. Why is it that anyone who speaks out against the mainstream is considered stupid, Militant, etc. The lady that interview Osokoni on the Fox News channel is the real racist. Along with O'rielly, Hannity, Ann Colter.
The lady is not a racist. You seriously just wrote that? To answer your question, record producers like Suge Knight are making the most money off these rappers. Plus, the black community needs to take responsibility of their own actions instead of always pulling out the race card.
It's sad that our struggle has been reduced to a card. Don't be naive, the Jewish cats profit the most from rap music. Your right, she's not a racist she's a bigot. I agree, we need to take responsibily. I believe cleaning up the degradating lyrics and images would be a good place to start.
i agree 100%. black women are whoring themselves in the porn industry by white men everyday. they allow these men to degrade them by spitting on them and then some.
So instead of realizing that it is the artist's fault in choosing the lyrics and overall negative connotations expressed in his speech, you are trying to once again play a "race card" in implying that corporate "white" America is imposing such actions on the artist. The artists have no concern whatsoever over what they say in their songs just as long as it lands them a buck in their pocket.
If you think otherwise then you can wallow in the ignorance that you and Osokoni share in common with one another. Also why don't you try getting your own opinion on personal sentiments surrounding news reporters instead of having your opinions shovelled (or spoonfed whichever you prefer) from a racist black supremicist such as Osokoni.
I think the true root of your problem rests on the foundation that you can't understand how racism can be played from the other side. Reverse racism can be just as powerful as the racism that has been superflously manipulated time after time again from the black community.
Osokoni is a joke. I saw him on Fox News, and it was blatantly obvious that he is extremely racist and blames all of his misfortunes on white America. People like Osokoni are holding back African Americans from being prosperous by teaching African Americans to cry about being oppressed instead using that time to get a real job.
I saw that too, and I must say, saying that theres no good hip hop on the charts because the white people don't want the good rap to be at the top of the billboard charts? that is one of the stupidest comments i have heard in a long time.
I hope you guys really stuck it to Summ-Ra the Everliving. I've hated the Viacom media empire for as long as I can remember and would love to see that shriveled up sack of bones get the public humiliation he deserves.

Black women r blaming BM for degrading them (and they should) but BW r afraid to go after
the white male owned and run porn industry
which depicts them in vile sexual acts!
People worldwide are seeing Black women in disgusting positions, whoring! So rappers talk about ho's but sistas DO the whoring
right in PUBLIC MEDIA!
