The astronaut is Jack (Harrison) Schmitt...he was fond of raising the gold visor and looking directly through the clear bubble helmet to get a better look at the rocks. He was the only "Scientist" ( Geologist ) to go to the Moon. The gold visor was a sun shield but also a radiation shield....safe to do without for short periods but not recommended for long.
What? Why can i see his face???? Isnt there supposed to be a gold film protecting him from sun?????? PLEASE please please can someone give me a real reason why this man did not get his face burnt off?

Incredible footage. Its interesting that he had his visor up and you could cleary see his face. Amazing stuff.
