The President has approached energy policy just as he approaches most everything else – with the naive assumption that as long as lots of government programs and mandates are established, the agenda will be accomplished and all will go well. Thus billions of dollars have been handed-out in “loans” and “grants” to Green recipient, typically personal friends and people who are working for his re-election.
1) He was trying to say a very mean thing in the nicest way possible.
2) He answered the question perfectly.
He said that she's selling a book and that they have different political philosophies therefore he does not look to her for advisement.
This means that she is trying to gain media attention for her book by saying ridiculous things. Further, in light of her political stance and desire for media attention, he doesn't think she qualifies to determine how his administration is doing.
Suspend and impeach O B O M B M A, arrest the top tier in the Federal Reserve, arrest Bush and his cronies, and vote Ron Paul it might not be too late.

The scary thing today is all these disaffected, blue collar Democrats in suburbs, exurbs and small towns. They're talking the same way about Obama that they did about Jimmy Carter in 1979-81. The Republicans are probably going to win the election, unless Obama does something drastic like declare war or something. I hate saying it, but that's what I fear. @sh4rpsh0t33 You do realize that the only way to fix the deficit is to raise taxes for the rich AND cut spending. Not just one or the other. Republicans only want to cut spending and they want to cut it in Education, Healthcare, and Transportation. You also realize that the projected unemployment rate by the end of 2012 is 6% which is 2% lower than when your savior G.W. started his term. All republicans do is place blame, yet have never offered one GOOD idea on how to fix ANYTHING.
@kr4yzi32k Republicans believe the rich should be taxed higher than anyone else, but they also don't think they should be taxed so much that it destroys business. Most big businesses cannot survive when you hit them as hard as you can with taxes like the Democrats want to do, so we end up losing massive amounts of money when we tax them. Cutting taxes is the solution if you want businesses to grow, and permanently increase jobs. Paul Ryan has contributed plenty of ideas on how to fix things.

Some businesses(the same that are paying for the majority of our taxes) make as small of a profit as 5%, so if you raises taxes 10% it is pretty obvious that the business will not survive.

When Eisenhower was in office the top 1% were taxed up to 90%. Clinton taxed them 39% up from 31.5%. When Obama wants to tax them at 39% which is 3% more than what they are taxed now, republicans go insane.

@sh4rpsh0t33 What spending errors? Obamacare doesn't go into effect until 2014. So that is not the reason the deficit grew. The deficit grew because of the government spending to stimulate the economy during the near-depression that occurred at the tail end of the GWB administration as a direct result of failed GOP economic policies. Trickle-down economics is a farce. To say GWB was not a 'perfect' President is like saying the Yugo was not a perfect automobile.
@bpvogel That's not true. George Bush did a very good job during his first seven years. He really didn't have a problem until he decided to bail out banks and what not. Also, in the first 19 months of the Obama administration, the federal debt held by the public increased by $2.5260 trillion, which is more than the cumulative total of the national debt held by the public that was amassed by all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Ronald Reagan.

@bpvogel I never blamed the financial crisis completely on Clinton. A lot of it had to do with the stock market crash. During his last term he had 3 quarters of negative GDP which is technically a recession. Once Bush entered office he did a pretty good job creating jobs with that, and also 9/11 occurring on top of it all. GWBs deficits didn't contribute to the financial crisis, it just made it more difficult to deal with it. It is interesting you give GWB a pass for deficits during a mild recession, but not Obama during a near depression.

Cut gas taxes. There is one. Cut down on income tax there's 2. The main one is Gas tax. Think about it. Every time it goes up so does everything else. Every business raises prices to compensate for higher shipping due to fuel prices. I can't go to my employer and say " I need more money because fuel prices went up. I have to deal with it and cut out things that are not " must have " They cut back on taxes and spending. And Bush didn't do all of this. Obama is handing out money really fast.
The ads are getting out of control. When you've got to sit through a 30 second commercial to get to a 30 second sound byte, you know it's time to rethink the model.

Most big businesses cannot survive when you hit them as hard as you can with taxes like the Democrats want to do, so we end up losing massive amounts of money when we tax them. Cutting taxes is the solution if you want businesses to grow, and permanently increase jobs. Paul Ryan has contributed plenty of ideas on how to fix things.

When Eisenhower was in office the top 1% were taxed up to 90%. Clinton taxed them 39% up from 31.5%. Cut gas taxes. There is one. Cut down on income tax there's 2. The main one is Gas tax. Think about it. Every time it goes up so does everything else. Every business raises prices to compensate for higher shipping due to fuel prices. I can't go to my employer and say " I need more money because fuel prices went up. I have to deal with it and cut out things that are not " must have " They cut back on taxes and spending. And Bush didn't do all of this. Obama is handing out money really fast.
