Tibetan and Dzonka speaking friends say they can't undestand a word of Burmese but the structure of the three languages is very similar.

When you listen to Tibetan it has just two tones, whereas languages in the Sino super family usually have five (eg Thai/Lao) or six (eg: Cantonese, Vietnamese).

first of all, nobody said mongolia would break free from china, because it never was a part of china.. only during the yuan dynasty which was MONGOLIAN. after that, mongolia was seperate from china.

secondly. China owns a nice peice of mongolia called INNER MONGOLIA which is clearly still a part of China since the qing dynasty.

Well, you sure called it part of China a hundred years ago. It'll be the same with Tibet. Tibet wasn't even conquered by China, it was conquered by a ton of Manchu, China can't take credit.

Algeria is much more culturally close to France than Tibet to China, physically closer as well (&more historically aligned: Tibet and China had never been part of the same country before, France and Algeria had). And as for Mongolia, let's note that It WAS within China's boundaries after the Manchu Qing dynasty (pretty much the same thing as Tibet, conquered by the Qing, but for some reason, China gets them? What the hell).

We've seen Europe and the Middle East slowly break up into smaller and smaller countries. You can't avoid it, its just an aspect of the new age. It's best to just go with it and accept it: you lose your conquests, big woop. Corrupt empires never stay anyways.

China is not an empire, its a country. tibet is a part of china and so is inner mongolia. they are not countries, they are regions within China. and seeing how millions of han chinese are flooding tibet and inner mongolia, its gonna be pretty hard seperating them, soon the chinese population will be bigger

@GuardianDemonX Tibetan is related to Burmese and sounds nothing at all like Chinese. Tibetan has three "tones" kind of, nasalized high and low sounds. It's an interesting language and the writing is beautiful. I would imagine Bhutanese is similar, but I don't know much about it or Hmong. The only thing Chinese about Tibet is the ruthless occupying force. I hope everyone can see that.
